Ar-We-Va gets a three at the buzzer from Delaney Schurke to pull out their 3rd straight win in a game that went back and forth all game. The Wheelers almost pulled away late in the 4th quarter but Ar-We-Va opened the 4th quarter with a run to take the lead back. The lead changed 16 times and the game was tied 7 more times. The Rockets biggest lead was 4 while Audubon had a 8-point lead late in the game. Ar-We-Va missed a three on the final possession but Kora Obrecht kept the possession alive with a rebound, setting up the opportunity for Schurke to win it.
Jamie Hausman hit a three to start the game for Ar-We-Va but Audubon was able to establish Rylee Brittan and Harlow Miller inside early, going up 5-3. Delaney Schurke hit a three, putting the Rockets back ahead. The 1st quarter had 5 lead changes and was tied 3 times, including 10-10 at the end of the quarter. Jamie Hausman put Ar-We-Va up to start the 2nd quarter as they built a 16-12 lead. Audubon fought back, pulling within 2 on a bucket by Rylee Brittan, then taking the lead with an Aubrey Jensen three. The lead changed hands on five straight baskets in the 2nd quarter with Madison Steckler hitting a three to put Audubon up 22-20. Rylee Brittan put the Wheelers up 24-22 and Maggie Ragaller ended the 1st half scoring with a free throw as the Wheelers led 24-23 at the break.
Jamie Hausman hit a three to start the 2nd half, giving Ar-We-Va a 26-24 lead. Their lead grew to 4 on another Hausman bucket but Audubon tied it at 28 on a bucket by Rylee Brittan. A Harlow Miller 3-point play started a run for her of 11 straight points for the Wheelers as she helped them build a 35-30 lead. Delaney Schurke hit a three for Ar-We-Va and Maggie Ragaller put Ar-We-Va up 36-35. Miller and Rylee Brittan put Audubon back on top and helped them build a 46-38 lead. Maggie Ragaller went on a 7-0 run for Ar-We-Va, pulling them within 46-45. Harlow Miller extended the Wheelers lead to 2, setting up the Rockets final possession. They wanted to get a look for Delaney Schurke but that didn’t work early. Maggie Ragaller took a three and missed but Kora Obrecht hustled to get the rebound and passed it back to Ragaller. Ragaller found Jamie Hausman up top, who found Delaney Schurke on the left wing. Schurke fired up the shot with 1.7 seconds left. It swished through the hoop just before the final second ticked off and Ar-We-Va won 48-47.
Maggie Ragaller had a really strong game for Ar-We-Va with 22 points and 8 steals. Delaney Schurke added 9 points on three-three’s. Jamie Hausman finished with 13 points to go with 5 rebounds and 4 steals.
Rylee Brittan led Audubon with 17 points to go with 6 rebounds while Harlow Miller had a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Audrey Jensen added 11 points and 7 rebounds.
Ar-We-Va has won three in a row to improve to 3-4. They head to Boyer Valley on Friday. Audubon falls to 0-9 and will host IKM-Manning on Friday.

The Coon Rapids Bayard Crusaders saw some early game struggles against IKM-Manning, but they eventually found their groove and pulled out the win.
Both teams find themselves in the middle of their conferences with Coon Rapids Bayard looking to win number four and IKM-Manning looking to make it two in a row. The first quarter for both teams was a bit rough with mishandling of the ball and overthrown passes that eventually led to Coon Rapids Bayard leading 7-3. The second quarter was all Crusaders as Anna Hart and Breeley Clayburg started cooking. Hart ended up with five points and Clayburg attacked the basket a lot better and ended up with six points in the second quarter. IKM-Manning was trying to combat the aggressive Crusaders, but they didn’t have much success. After going 17-5 in the second quarter, Coon Rapids Bayard found themselves up 24-8 at halftime. Hart and Clayburg both led the Crusaders with eight points while Abbagail Neiheisel, Taylor Beckendorf, Anna Stangl, and Mabel Langel all had two points for the Wolves.
IKM-Manning played with a lot more intensity in the second half, specifically in the third quarter. Morgan Hanson got five points including a three pointer and Mabel Langel got herself to the free throw line twice, but went 2-4. Hart continued to put up bucket after bucket with eight more points added to her total on the night. Crusaders continued to roll with a 36-19 lead going into the fourth quarter. Both teams didn’t add too much to their totals in the final eight minutes, Coon Rapids Bayard ended up going 8-2 over the Wolves and they cruised to a 44-21 victory.
The win elevates the Crusaders to 4-3 overall on the season while IKM-Manning drops to 3-5. Up next for both teams the Wolves will play Friday, January 6th when they travel to take on Audubon and Coon Rapids Bayard will be at Glidden Ralston the same day.

Paton Churdan played well, but the 2nd quarter gave West Bend Mallard a lead they wouldn’t relinquish. The Rockets trailed 16-10 heading into the 2nd quarter but were outscored 22-7 to trail 38-17 at half. The Rockets hung tough in the 2nd half, playing to a 27-23 half.
Becca Anderson paced the Rockets with 17 points and Emma Stream finished with 14 points.
The Rockets drop to 0-7 on the season and will host Exira-EHK on Friday.
