Carroll started quickly on the road, with Shay Sinnard scoring a layup off the opening tip, then knocking down a 3 off a Tiger steal, putting Carroll up 5-0 in the first few seconds of the game. Sinnard scored the Tigers first 8 points and her and Camryn Schable combined to score 13 of the Tigers 18 points in the 1st quarter. Carroll led 18-5 heading to the 2nd quarter and kept the pressure up. Olivia Rowedder hit Katelyn Aden for a three, putting Carroll up 26-10. Kennedy Thein had a big game for Carroll scoring 8-points in the 1st half, shooting the ball well. She drained a corner three in the 3rd quarter, helping Carroll extend the lead to 26. The Tigers entered the game shooting around 50% from the free throw line but knocked down 15-15 from the line on Tuesday. Carroll led by 19 at half, extending the lead to 26 at the end of the 3rd quarter.
Shay Sinnard led Carroll with 18 points and a pair of steals. Camryn Schable finished with 9 rebounds and 4 steals. Katelyn Aden had 7 points and Kennedy Thein had her best game of the season with 11 points. Shayne Aschinger added 8 points.
Carroll has won 2 in a row, improving to 4-5 overall and 2-4 in the Raccoon River Conference. They will host Carlisle on 93.7 KKRL on Friday.

The Kuemper Knights were unstoppable from start to finish as they avenged their loss against Denison Schleswig with a great performance Tuesday.
It didn’t take long for the Knights to get out ahead as they were looking to get back to .500 on the season while the Monarchs were looking to win number three on the season. Kuemper got out in the first quarter with a huge 19-0 run that lasted the entire quarter as the Monarchs looked to be struggling out of the game. Cate Mayhall got started with five points in the quarter including a three pointer with Frannie Glynn going to the free throw line three times and putting up five points as well. The untouchable scoring run continued in the second quarter up until there was five minutes left. Kuemper was up 23-0 until the Monarch’s Kiana Schulz hit two free throws to get their first points of the game. With the momentum clearly on Kuemper’s side, they continued to pour on the points until they led 32-8 at halftime. Mayhall led the team with eight points with Aubrey Heuton close behind with seven points.
In the second half Denison Schleswig still found themselves grasping for points while Kuemper kept the points coming. Lauren Boell really started to show up in the second half with six points in the third quarter, which included going 2-2 from the free throw line. Kuemper kept their lead up at 43-14 going into the fourth quarter. The Knights went on cruise control from there and were able to glide to a 52-33 win over Denison Schleswig.
The Knights get to .500 at 5-5 overall on the season and 2-3 in the Hawkeye 10 Conference. Kuemper will be at home Friday, January 6th when they take on Atlantic.

Glidden Ralston was in great shape heading into the half, leading the Cougars by 17-points. Things didn’t go as well in the 2nd half but the Wildcats would get a late bucket from Kassidy Wenck to preserve a 1-point win. Glidden Ralston scored 20-points in the 1st quarter and 10-points in the entire 2nd half. CAM Anita cut the deficit to 40-33 heading into the 4th quarter. They took the lead late but Glidden Ralston stayed poised. The Wildcats missed a shot with about 33 seconds left and were forced to foul. The Cougars went to the line for a one-and-one. They missed the front end and Glidden Ralston pulled down the rebound. Paige Klocke penetrated down the lane and found Kassidy Wenck on the block with a nifty bounce pass and Wenck scored to put the Wildcats on top.
Tiela Janssen continues her great start to the season with a team high 18 points. Paige Klocke and Kassidy Wenck each finished with 9 points.
The win improves Glidden Ralston to 5-4 overall and 4-3 in the Rolling Valley Conference. They host Coon Rapids Bayard on Friday on KIKD 106.7.
