Kuemper At Carroll Invite 

It was a really good day for the Carroll Tigers as they dominant their own tournament, taking 1st place by 78.5 points over Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln. The Tigers went 31-14 in matches wrestled, claiming 6 championships with 16 wins by fall, a tech fall, a major decision and a sudden victory. Kuemper was missing a few wrestlers, but still had a solid day, taking 5th place with 100 points. The Knights ended the day 13-16 in matches wrestled with two wrestlers taking 2nd place. The Knights had 9 wins by fall and a major decision.

Cooper Ludwig of Carroll had the biggest win of the day for Carroll, defeating Brent Dennhardt of Greene County 11-6 in the championship match at 145. Ludwig was one of the Tigers six champions, going 2-0 with his semifinal win by fall. Jireh Gallegos went 3-0 at 160 with all three of his wins in dominating fashion by fall. Dreylen Schweitzer went 3-0, taking 1st at 106 with 2 wins by fall, Cael Nelson was the champion at 126, going 3-0 with a win by fall and a tech fall. Owen Klocke at 152 and Colton Wieland at 285 were the Tigers other two champions. Klocke went 3-0 with a win by fall, Wieland went 3-0 with a win by fall and a sudden death victory in the finals.

Kuemper was led by Jake Irlbeck who took 2nd at 152, going 2-1 with a win by fall and a major decision. Riley Parkis also took 2nd place for the Knights at 132. Parkis went 2-1 with both of  his wins by fall.

Coon Rapids Bayard and South Central Calhoun At Ridge View Tournament 

South Central Calhoun went 3-1 in duals on Saturday, Coon Rapids Bayard finished the day 1-3 in duals. The Titans were 16-13 in matches wrestled with 15 wins by fall while the Crusaders went 12-20 in matches wrestled with 8 wins by fall and 2 wins by major decision. South Central Calhoun edged Coon Rapids Bayard 36-34 going 4-4 in the match. The Titans had 4 wins by fall while the Crusaders won a match by fall and a major decision. South Central Calhoun also picked up wins over Alta/Aurelia 42-35, going 1-3 in matches wrestled with their win by fall, and a 42-31 win over Lawton Bronson. The Titans were 5-3 in matches wrestled with all 5 wins by fall. Their lone loss came to Ridge View, 43-42 though they went 6-3 in matches wrestled with 5 wins by fall. Coon Rapids Bayard picked up their win over Alta/Aurelia 46-36, going 3-3 in matches wrestled with 2 wins by fall and a major decision. The Crusaders fell to Ridge View 57-24, going 3-7 in matches wrestled with all 3 wins by fall and lost to Lawton Bronson 46-30, going 2-6 in matches wrestled with both wins by fall.

Naylan Gulbranson, Kolin Folsom and Brock Nattress all went 4-0 for the Titans with Nattress and Gulbranson both having 3 wins by fall and Folsom having 2 wins by fall. Levi Evanoski, Riley Timmerman and Khyean Hawkins all went 3-1. Evanoski and Timmerman had 2 wins by fall and Hawkins had a win by fall.
