Girls Wrestling Results for Friday, December 9th
Kuemper, Audubon, and East Sac at Riverside
Kuemper, Audubon, East Sac and South Central Calhoun wrestling all had solid matches Friday as they all competed at Riverside. Kuemper came away with three first place finishes, South Central Calhoun came away with two champions, and East Sac and Audubon both grabbed two top-five finishes each.
Kuemper’s Grace Hoffman had a busy night, wrestling four matches and winning all four at 110 pounds. She won three by fall and another by decision. Sadie Smith won all three of her matches via fall and claimed the crown at 115 pounds in the A bracket. Kyla Wiskus was the final champion Kuemper had at 120 pounds where she went 2-0 in matches wrestled winning both via fall. Ally Sommerfeld had a solid day in the 115B bracket, finishing 1-1 with a major decision and finishing second.
South Central Calhoun’s Scout Rohlfs and Evelyn Kramer claimed the crowns in their respective weight classes. Rohlfs at 115 pounds won all three of her matches via fall at 3:27, 3:44, and 1:18. Kramer at 120 also went 3-0 enroute to her championship where she won her matches via fall at 3:27, 4:29, and 2:30. Every Titan that wrestled Friday finished third or better. Four other wrestlers finished in second place. Kourtney King finished second at 100 pounds with two wins via fall. Lacey Martin grabbed three wins, two via fall and one via DQ. Delanie Westcott picked up a win in the second round via fall and ended up with a 1-2 record to finish second in the 130-pound division. Finally, Kaley Timmerman at 125B went 2-1 on the day and won via fall and major decision to finish second overall in her division.
For the Audubon Wheelers, Laura McCarville was able to claim the 125A crown by going 4-0 on the day. She won three matches via fall and another by decision. Emily Foran came away with a fourth-place finish at 130 pounds with three losses on the day.
The East Sac Raiders had two girls wrestle at this meet, Olivya Mack and Sophia Villegas. Both girls finished fourth in their weight classes losing three matches on the day.
