Brincks Exteriors Sports Report: Three Kuemper Knights Compete at State Cross Country Meet at Fort Dodge Saturday

State Cross Country Meet – Kuemper and Class 3A Team Results

Kuemper Boys Results

Ryan North and Jacob Greving of Kuemper competed at Fort Dodge in the Class 3A State Cross Country Meet and saw plenty of success. North finished the meet at 39th place with a final time of 17:08.54. He said he had trouble sleeping the night before, but once he got on the course, he let his legs take over. Greving wasn’t too far behind him in 47th with a final time of 17:18.90. He says he’s happy with the time he got today and was happy to be back at state cross country. He’s looking forward to competing during the track season and lowering his times in his events.

Other results from the boys Class 3A meet include Ethan Eichhorn of Lewis Central as the individual champion with a final time of 15:32.43. Pella was the team champion with a final team score of 79.

Kuemper Girls Results

The Class 3A girls state cross country meet featured one area athlete in Marie Dea among some of the best runners in the state. Dea was able to round out her performance in 45th place with a final time of 20:29.68. She says it was her goal to get down to the state cross country meet and that she’s honored to be one of the few who made it.

Other results from the girls 3A meet include Paityn Noe of Ballard as the individual champion with final time of 16:48.58, a new meet and state record. Pella also won the girls 3A meet as a team with 91 team points.
