South Central Calhoun’s lone score came with 7:22 left in the half when Zach Trott had a huge run for 39-yard to the endzone that kept the game close at 20-14 at that point. The Hawks entered halftime with the 28-14 lead.
The Hawks kept their momentum going entering the second half. They’d see McCaulley run in three touchdowns in the third quarter alone and give Woodward Granger the 49-14 lead. South Central Calhoun didn’t have any responses in the third quarter, but finally broke their silence in the fourth quarter when Mike Trott fought his way for a one-yard touchdown run. Despite gaining some momentum back, the Titans were unable to get any more points on the board and fell by a score of 49-20.
The loss drops the Titans to 3-4 overall on the season and 2-2 in Class 1A District 2. Their season finale will be on the road as they take on Belmond-Klemme this Friday night.
