Coon Rapids Bayard fell out of playoff contention with a home loss to CAM Anita on Friday as the Crusaders dropped their third straight district game. The Crusaders sit 3-4 overall and 3-3 in the district after a loss to CAM Anita who improved to 5-2 overall and 4-1 in the district, locking up the second seed. The Crusaders ran for 170-yards and passed for 48-yards in the loss. The Cougars rushed for 326-yards, averaging 9.9 yards per carry and passed for 74-yards and 2 touchdowns on six passing attempts. The Cougars scored seven times on the ground, building a 24-0 lead after the 1st quarter and a 52-8 lead by half.

Raiden Doty led the Crusaders on offense with 130-yards rushing on 10 carries while scoring a rushing touchdown. Ethan Bauer added 16-yards on 3 carries. Wyatt Oswald finished 2-4 passing for 10-yards and Cal Heydon was 1-11 for 38-yards and a touchdown pass. Lance Clayburg made 1 catch for 38-yards and a touchdown. Cal Heydon had a team high 7 tackles, Omarion Floyd finished with 6.5 tackles and Trey Rosenbeck and Ethan Bauer each had 4.5 tackles.

The Crusaders travel to Exira-EHK in Week 8.
