The Ar-We-Va Rockets had one of their toughest challenge Friday night when they took on 8-man powerhouse Remsen St. Mary’s. 

The Hawks took control of the contest from the start with 28 first quarter points and 19 second quarter points to lead 47-0. The Rockets were battling some injuries and setbacks in practice this week, but Co-Head Coach Isaac Schaefers was proud of the effort his guys put into this game. Blayne Smith found some success throwing the football with 10 completions and 65 yards. Wyatt Ragaller stepped into the role of the Rockets main ball carrier with five carries and 20 yards along with four receptions for 43 yards. The Hawks continued to put points on the board in the second half with 28 points and eventually came away with the 75-0 win.

The loss drops the Rockets to 3-4 overall on the season and 3-2 in the district. They finish up the regular season with another big challenge in Newell Fonda.
