The Carroll Tigers were challenged well at their home meet Tuesday when they took on Boone. The Toreadors were able to edge out the Tigers as a team with 91 points compared to Carroll’s 87. With around a month left until the regional swimming meet, the Tigers continued to improve their times at this meet.
Carroll had seven first-place finishes at their meet with Emma Myers taking home four of those finishes. She individually won the 200 free with a time of 2:06.18 and the 100 breaststroke with a final time of 1:09.98. Myers teamed up with Natalie Kent, Hailey Burns, and Amelia Holt in the 200 free relay where they won the event with a time of 1:46.99. Myers finally teamed up with Holt, Burns, and Zelda DeMoss in the 400 free relay, winning the event with a time of 4:15.22.
Holt was able to win her two individual events as well. She won the 200 IM with a final time of 2:34.66 and the 100 fly with a time of 1:08.37. Burns took home the seventh and final first place finish for the Tigers in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:11.84.
The Tigers are back with another home meet on Thursday, October 6th as they host Fort Dodge and Spencer.
