Audubon scored  touchdown their first eight possessions and scored on nine of their ten possessions in the game as they cruise to a win over Exira-EHK in the Audubon County rivalry game. The Wheelers played their best game this season, holding Exira-EHK to scoreless in the 2nd quarter and to 16 points in the 2nd half. The Wheelers established the ground game, running for 280 yards while holding the Spartans to 143 yards on the ground. Both teams gained over 350 yards of total offense with the Wheelers throwing for 117 yards and the Spartans throwing for 213 yards on 27 pass attempts.

The first quarter was explosive with both teams scoring twice. Exira-EHK got on the board first, scoring on a 5-yard run by Trey Petersen. Audubon answered when Aaron Olsen found Edward Miller for a 61-yard touchdown pass, putting the Wheelers up 8-6 with 5:58 left in the quarter. Trey Petersen scored again on a 5-yard run with 1:41 left in the quarter and the Spartans went up 14-8. Audubon answered just before the end of the quarter when Aaron Olsen scored on a 17-yard run. The Wheelers led 16-14 heading into the second quarter. This is where the game turned. Audubon dominated the quarter, outscoring the Spartans 28-0. Izik Sorensen blocked a Spartan punt and the Wheelers recovered at the Spartan 7-yard line. Aaron Olsen scored two plays later from 9-yards, extending the Wheelers lead to 24-14. A 4th down stop near midfield set up the Wheelers next score. The Wheelers again struck quickly, as Aaron Olsen hit Manny Beisswenger for a 45-yard touchdown on the second play, putting the Wheelers up 32-14. Midway through the second quarter Aaron Olsen broke off another touchdown run, this time from 42-yards and Audubon lead 38-14. Another stop on 4th down, set up the Wheelers final score of the half. Olsen scored on a 3-yard run and Audubon was up 44-14 heading into half.

Audubon stopped any hope of a Spartan rally midway through the third quarter when Aaron Olsen hit Edward Miller for a 18-yard touchdown. The teams traded touchdowns the rest of the game with Audubon scoring the final points of the game on a Carson Wessel 13-yard touchdown run. The Wheelers were three for six on 3rd downs and converted two of three 4th down attempts. The Wheelers defense was outstanding on 3rd downs, holding the Spartans to three of thirteen along with three of six on 4th down.

Aaron Olsen ran for 127 yards on 24 carries with 5 touchdowns to lead the Wheelers attack. Manny Beisswenger and Carson Wessel both had 58 yards rushing with each scoring once. Olsen was 3-4 throwing the ball for 94 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Edward Miller had 2 catches for 79 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Manny Beisswenger caught 1 pass from 15 yards and Armando Alarcon had 1 catch for 23 yards. Zeke Konkler led the Wheelers with 9 tackles, Lane Barber had 8 tackles and Grant Gleason and Gavin Larsen each finished with 7 tackles.

The Wheelers improved to 2-3 overall and 2-0 in district play. They play at CAM Anita on Friday.
