Coon Rapids Bayard put up another outstanding rushing game as they blanked Boyer Valley on Friday.
The Crusaders got off on the right foot in the first quarter with a touchdown and a successful two point conversion to lead 8-0. Lance Clayburg was once again a threat offensively with 20 Carries for 125 yards and four touchdowns, along with five solo tackles. Coon Rapids Bayard put up two more touchdowns in the second quarter, but allowed Boyer Valley to get on the board. The Crusaders entered halftime with a score of 22-7.
The Coon Rapids Bayard defense stayed strong in the second half and the offense kept scoring. Wyatt Oswald had a bigger rushing game than passing, putting up 125 rushing yards and a touchdown. The Crusaders closed out the second half with 13 points and the 35-7 win.
The win elevates Coon Rapids Bayard to 2-1 overall on the season. They travel to Woodbine in week 4.
