Carroll At Bondurant Farrar Tournament

Carroll played well on Saturday, winning three of the four matches they would play in a tournament that ran behind most of the day. Due to the long tournament and the matchup with Carroll and Bondurant Farrar this week the two teams agreed not to play on Saturday, so the Tigers only played four matches instead of five. Carroll swept through their pool play, defeating Fort Madison and Williamsburg, having to battle back against Williamsburg after dropping the 1st set. Carroll pulled out a hard fought 22-20 win in the 2nd set and then  rolled set 3. Carroll was dominant in their win over Fort Madison. The Tigers picked up their third win of the day, beating Ames 2-1. Carroll won the 1st set, but dropped the 2nd set, forcing a decisive 3rd set. Carroll edged Ames 15-13 in a big win against a 5A opponent. The Tigers lone loss came against Raccoon River Conference foe North Polk. Carroll fell in 2 sets to finish the day 6-4 in sets and 3-1 in matches.

Kaitlyn Tigges had a solid all-around day, leading Carroll with 21 assists, adding 18 digs and a pair of aces. Riley Nagl added 17 assists and 2 aces.
