Kuemper saw an amazing run through the 2022 season come to an end in the quarterfinals of the State Tournament on Saturday. The Knights battled hard, having a chance to win several matches and send the meet into doubles but weren’t able to pull out a win to keep the match going. They finished 1-9 in full sets and 0-1 in tie breaker sets. Samantha Tidgren match was not finished when the meet came to an end with her tied one set apiece and in the tie breaker set. Alyssa Brant picked up a set win for the Knights, winning her second set 6-4 before falling in the tie-breaker. Jordan Schwabe and Sophie Rohe also played well in close losses with Schwabe winning 4 games in each set and Rohe falling in a tough tie-breaker in set 2. Ella Schwarte battled in her first set, winning 3 games.
The Knights had an undefeated regular season and won their first ever conference tournament title.
