Saturday Track Results

 

The final day of State Track was one to remember with our area athletes putting all on the line for one more time this spring season.

The Audubon girls sprint medley team, composed of Mattie Nielsen, Madison Steckler, Abigail Zaiger, and Hannah Thygesen, had a great performance as they finished third overall with a time of 1:52.75. Thygesen also competed in the 800-meter run where she finished 18th overall in class 1A with a time of 2:33.20. The boys’ shuttle hurdle team, composed of Aaron Olsen, Brandon Jensen, Carter Andreasen, and Gavin Smith, were able to medal with a third-place finish with a time of 1:01.70. Smith was also in the 110 hurdles where he set a new personal record with a time of 14.86, finishing third. Stefi Beisswenger ran well in the 1500-meter run, setting a new personal record with a time of 5:09.13 and finishing 12th overall. The final event for the Wheelers was the girls 4X400 relay. Composed of Zaiger, Nielsen, Steckler, and Thygesen, the quartet finished 8th in the finals with a time of 4:14.11.

Marie Dea of Carroll had a stellar performance in the 800-meter run in class 3A where she finished 4th overall with a time of 2:20.82, a new personal record. The Carroll girls sprint medley team, composed of Marasyn Wittrock, Shay Sinnard, Hannah Jorgensen, and Dea did not officially start in the sprint medley relay.

The Coon Rapids Bayard boys sprint medley team, composed of Easton Hays, Tanner Oswald, Omarion Floyd, and Kolby Culbertson, had the final event at State Track for the Crusaders and they finished in 16th place overall with a time of 1:39.35. 

IKM-Manning’s Caden Keller was able to finish second in his heat in the 800-meter run and found out soon after that he medaled with an eighth-place finish overall with a time of 2:02.70, a new personal record. 

Chloe Judisch from South Central Calhoun had a solid performance in her heat of the 800-meter run and ended up with 15th overall placement with a new personal record of 2:26.31. 

Ar-We-Va’s Cooper Kock returned to the track in Saturday’s 110 hurdles where he finished 5th with a time of 15.18.
