Kuemper cruised through the opening round on Saturday defeating Creston 5-0 in singles to end the match. The Knights won all 10 sets played with the closest win at 6-3. They finished a 60-11 record in games played. Sophie Rohe was the most dominant in her win, sweeping through both sets. Ella Schwarte dropped just 1 game, while Jordan Schwabe fell just twice. Alyssa Brant won 12 of her 15 games and Samantha Tidgren went 12-5.
The Knights advanced to play Harlan in the 2nd round.

The Knights swept their second match of the day, beating Harlan 6-0 in singles to advance to the Regional Championship against Clarke in Saydel on Tuesday. Kuemper didn’t drop a set for the second match in a row, going 72-14 in games played.
Ella Schwarte and Keziah Janssen only dropped a game each, with Schwarte losing in the first set and Janssen the second set. Alyssa Brant won both her sets with a single loss in each set while Jordan Schwabe and Sophie Rohe both swept through one set and dropped 3 games in the other set. Samantha Tidgren won a tight set one, dropping 3 games but cruised in set two with just 1 loss.
