The Carroll Tigers played solid enough defensively in the first half against Winterset Thursday, but the Huskies were able to take over early in the second half and cruise to victory. The Huskies and Tigers were locked in a heated battle early where the first goal wasn’t scored until the 20:53 mark in the first half. Winterset was able to get that first goal and got another one 18 minutes later after chipping away at the Carroll defense. The Huskies took a 2-0 lead into halftime. Winterset wasted little time in the second half getting on the board with a quick goal at the 38:28 mark. They followed that up at the 37:30 mark with another goal, and another one six minutes later. The final goal from Winterset gave them a 6-0 lead, allowing them to come away with the win. Carroll was able to get down the pitch and take some shots, including two shots on goal from Clayton Weitl, Trey Hunter, and Christian Best. Tanner Heithoff was able to record nine saves in the match.
The Tigers are back in action on Friday, May 13th when they host Ballard.

The Kuemper Knights were on the road Thursday as they took on a Lewis Central squad on a warmer than normal May afternoon. The Titans got to work from the start of the first half against the Knights. Lewis Central gave the Knights little opportunities to get down to their side of the pitch as they defeated Kuemper 12-0 after the first half. Jace Pruitt was able to have a solid night defensively with 11 saves overall. The Knights are back in action on Monday, May 16th when they take on Underwood at the field house.
