Girls Track Results for Tuesday, May 3rd
Audubon and IKM-Manning at Western Iowa Conference Meet at AHSTW
The Western Iowa Conference track meet was held Tuesday where Audubon and IKM-Manning both competed well. Treynor was the eventual meet winner with 155.50 points. Audubon finished the meet in fifth place with 71 points, followed by IKM-Manning in sixth place with 62 points. Even with a top-heavy top three, both teams came away with great finishes.
Audubon’s Stefi Beisswenger won both the 1500 and 3000 meter runs in times of 5:14.25 and 11:19.22 respectively. Hanna Thygesen was able to grab a second-place finish in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:28.50. She aided her speediness to the 4X400, sprint medley, and distance medley teams that got top three finishes. The 4X400 teams, composed of Abigail Zaiger, Mattie Nielsen, Madison Steckler, and Thygesen, got a third place finish in a time of 4:23.63. Thygesen, Nielsen, and Zaiger were all part of the sprint medley relay as well, along with Makayla Schmidt, where they got second in a time of 1:57.22. Steckler rejoined Thygesen, Nielsen, and Zaiger in the distance medley where they also got a second place finish in a time of 4:32.27.
For IKM-Manning, Jessica Christensen had the best finish for the Wolves, getting second place in the high jump event with a best jump of 4-06.00. Emily Albertsen and Morgan Hanson finished right next to each other in the 1500- and 3000-meter runs. Albertsen got fourth in the 1500 with a time of 5:31.13 while Hanson got fifth with a time of 5:35.52. In the 3000 meter run, Albertsen got third with a time of 12:01.49 and Hanson got fourth with a time of 12:01.90. Emmie Ring was able to secure a fourth place finish in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:14.93.
Coming up for both teams, IKM-Manning will be at South Central Calhoun on Thursday, May 5th while Audubon is at Panorama on the same day. Full results for both teams can be found below.

East Sac and South Central Calhoun at Twin Lakes Conference Meet at Manson NW Webster
The Twin Lakes Conference Meet was held on a chilly Tuesday where East Sac and South Central Calhoun athletes were in action and performed well. With six top three finishes, the Titans were able to finish fifth as a team with 65 team points. Grabbing four top-three finishes, the Raiders finished eighth overall as a team with 59 points. Sioux Central was the winning team as they had 120 points.
For South Central Calhoun, Chloe Judisch had another solid day in the mid-distance events, finishing third in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:04.08 and second in the 800 meter run in a time of 2:34.49. Judisch joined the 4X800 team, along with Breanna Patterson, Evelyn Kramer, and Brenna McAlister, where they won the event in a time of 10:41.63. Keira Hammen was also impressive in the throwing events, finishing third in the discus event with a best throw of 97-02 and winning the shot put event with a best throw of 35-01.00. Kylee Schleisman was able to grab a third place finish in the long jump with a best jump of 14-08.00.
East Sac’s Brooke Jergens had another solid night in the short distance events, getting second in both the 100- and 200-meter dashes, in times of 13.30 and 26.97 respectively. She was also part of the two relay teams that finished in the top three. The 4X100 team, composed of Jergens, Hannah Pudenz, Meredith Brown, and Carly Fischer, won the event with a time of 53.04. Brown, Fischer, Jergens, and Emma Meredith competed in the 4X200 relay where they finished in third place with a time of 1:53.72.
The upcoming meet for both teams includes South Central Calhoun hosting East Sac, along with IKM-Manning, Glidden Ralston, Paton Churdan, and Ar-We-Va on Thursday, May 5th.

Ar-We-Va, Glidden Ralston, Paton Churdan, and Coon Rapids Bayard at Rolling Valley Conference Meet at Boyer Valley
Ar-We-Va, Glidden Ralston, Paton Churdan, and Coon Rapids Bayard were all in action Tuesday as they competed at Boyer Valley for the Rolling Valley Conference track meet. Glidden Ralston and Ar-We-Va finished near each other in the standings, with Glidden Ralston finishing in fourth place with 76 points and Ar-We-Va finishing in fifth place with 42 points. Coon Rapids Bayard finished in seventh place with 15 points while Paton Churdan came away with some top eight finishes.
For Glidden Ralston, Vanessa Koehler won all four of the individual events she competed in. She won the 100-meter dash in a time of 13.34, 200-meter dash in a time of 27.95, 100 hurdles with a time of 16.90, and finally the high jump with a best jump of 4-10.00. Tiela Janssen and Alexia Nelson both finished the day with two top three individual finishes. Jannsen got third in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:07.96 and 400 hurdles with a time of 1:14.26. Nelson finished third in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:55.62 and second place in the 3000-meter run in a time of 12:35.66.
Ar-We-Va’s Maggie Ragaller came away from the meet with three top-three finishes, two individually and one relay. She got second in the 100 hurdles with a time of 17.11 and 400 hurdles in a time of 1:12.54, and joined Jamie Hausman, Elizabeth Brunner, and Amber Ragaller in the shuttle hurdle relay where they won with a time of 1:13.82. Hausman also competed in the 100 hurdles and finished in fourth place with a time of 18.25. Amber Ragaller was able to grab a third-place finish in the long jump with a best jump of 14-09-00. Elizabeth Brunner was able to finish in the top five in both her individual events, fifth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 14.45 and fourth in the 200-meter dash in a time of 30.46.
The Coon Rapids Bayard relay teams were the ones who gave the Crusaders some good times. The 4X100, composed of Miranda McClellan, Lydia Hofbauer, Kadey Olson, and Brynn Bass, were able to finish in fourth place with a time of 59.24. Hofbauer and Olson joined Kaydence Gagnon and Macy Thompson in the sprint medley relay where they finished in a time of 2:14.57 in fifth place. McClellan also did well in the throwing events, finishing fourth in the shot put with a best throw of 31-00.05, ahead of teammate Breeley Clayburg who finished in fifth with a best throw of 30-03.00, and fifth in the discus with a best throw of 71-07.
While Paton Churdan did not have a team score, they did have some good performances by their relay team as well. Kayla Sturm, Taryn Baugh, Haylee Duckett, and Grace Cullum composed the 4X100 team that finished in seventh place with a time of 1:07.76. Bailey Anderson joined Sturm, Baugh, and Duckett in the sprint medley relay where they finished seventh with a time of 2:41.71. Sturm was also able to secure an eighth-place finish in the discus event with a best throw of 61-03.
Coming up for all four teams, Ar-We-Va, Glidden Ralston, and Paton Churdan will be at South Central Calhoun on Thursday, May 5th while the Crusaders are off until the district track meets on Thursday, May 12th.
