Boys Golf Results Wednesday, May 4th 

Audubon and IKM-Manning At Western Iowa Conference Tournament At Nishna Hills

Audubon finished 2nd in the team standings while Max Nielsen of IKM-Manning was runner-up medalist at the Western Iowa Conference Meet in Atlantic. The Wheelers shot a 351 with three for their top 4 guys shooting in the 80’s. The Wolves finished 7th as a team with a 381. The Wolves had three players under 100 with Max Nielen in the 70’s. Treynor claimed the championship, shooting a 309.

Max Nielsen of IKM-Manning was runner-up medalist with a 77, trailing only Ethan Konz of Treynor, who finished with a 70. Nielsen shot a 36 on the front nine and a 41 on the back, finishing with 7-4’s on the front and a 3. He shot 5-4’s on the back nine. Jay  Remsburg paced Audubon with a 82, shooting 36 on the front and 46 on the back. Remsburg had 2-3’s and 5-4’s on the front and a 4 on the back nine. Evan Alt and Gavin Smith of Audubon both shot 89’s. Alt went 43-46 while Smith finished 40-49. Alt had 4-4’s on the front and 2-4’s on the back while Smith had a 3 and 4-4’s on the front and 2-4’s on the back. Edward Miller was the Wheelers last score, shooting a 91, with a 46-45. Miller had a 4 on the front and back. Devyn Snyder shot a 98 for IKM-Manning (52-46). Snyder had 3-4’s on the back. Josh Walker added a 99 for the Wolves, shooting 46-53. Walker had a 3 and 2-4’s on the front and 2-4’s on the back. Nolan Ramsey added a 107 for IKM-Manning with a 51-56. Ramsey had a 4 on the front and 3 straight 4’s on the back.

Audubon and IKM-Manning used their scores from the front nine as their dual meet for this season. Audubon finished with a 164 and IKM-Manning shot a 185. Max Nielsen of IKM-Manning and Jay Remsburg of Audubon both shot a 36 on the front. Evan Alt added a 43 for Audubon, Gavin Smith a 40 and Oliver Deist a 45 for the Wheelers. Following Nielsen for IKM-Manning was Josh Walker a 46, Nolan Ramsey a 51 and Devyn Snyder a 52.

East Sac and South Central Calhoun At Twin Lakes Conference At Lake Creek 

Justin Hanks of South Central Calhoun continues his hot stretch, bringing home medalist honors with a 74, beating Mason Laven of Storm Lake St Mary’s by 2 strokes and Mason Dicks of Newell Fonda by 4 strokes. The Titans took 5th place with a 353, having all four of their top golfers under 100, with Hanks and Bryan Steig under 90. Bradyn Burns had a good round for East Sac with a 85, finishing in 10th place as the Raiders were 12th with a 448. Burns and Carter Hogrefe shot under 100 while the other Raider scores were in the 100’s.

Hanks has been on a team for the Titans, shooting a 74 with a pair of 37’s. Hanks had a pair of 3’s on the front along with 4-4’s. He finished the round with a 3 on the back along with 6-4’s, twice having three straight 4’s. Bradyn Burns led the Raiders with a 85, going 43-42. Burns had a 3 and 2-4’s on the front and 2-3’s and 2-4’s on the back. Bryan Steig continues to shoot well for South Central Calhoun, finishing with a 88 (42-26). Steig had a 2 on number 9 to go with a 3 and 3-4’s on the front. He added a 3 and 3-4’s on the back. Brady Schumacher shot 93 for South Central Calhoun, going 45-48. Schumacher had a 3 and a 4 on the front with a 4 on the back. Nik Whipkey was the final team score for the Titans, shooting a 98  with a 50-48. Whipkey had a pair of 4’s on the back. Carter Hogrefe added a 93 for East Sac with a 48-45. Hogrefe had a 3 and a 4 on the front, adding a pair of 4’s on the back. Jack Swanger shot a 118 for the Raiders with a 4 on the back and Hutton Pasche had the final score for East Sac with a 152 (79-73). Pasche had a 4 on both the front and back.
