Girls Golf Results Tuesday, May 3rd 

Carroll and Kuemper At Atlantic Invite 

Erin Winker of Carroll High earned runner-up medalist honors on Tuesday at the Atlantic Invite. Winker finished with a 82, six strokes behind Jaya West of Winterset who won medalist honors with a 76. The Tigers were 3rd overall with a 401, trailing Winterset by only 2 strokes for 2nd place. ADM won the  meet by 11 strokes, shooting a 399. Kuemper only golfed Grace Tigges and she finished with a 125, good enough for 52nd place.

Winker was solid all round never shooting higher than six. She finished with 3-4’s on the front 9 and 4-4’s on the back nine to go with a 2 on 13 and a 3 on 14. Ashlee Danner finished in the top 15 for Carroll, adding a 102 with 2-4’s on the front and on on the back nine.  Delaney Schurke scored a 104 for the Tigers, with a 3 no number 3 and a 4 on 8 on the front 9. Schurke added back-to-back 4’s on 13 and 14 on the back 9. Makalei Kofron was the Tigers final score with a 113.

The Wheelers nabbed another win, this time on the road Tuesday, traveling to Riverside. Kali Irlmeier continues her strong start to the season for Audubon, earning Medalist honors with a 47. Addison Brinck of Riverside was runner-up medalist with a 50.

Irlmeier had a strong day with a 3 on number 9 to go with a 4 on number 5. Sienna Albertsen and Allison Elmquist both shot 57. Albertsen shot 5 on three holes and Elmquist had a pair of 5’s and a 4 on number 9. Kaci Anthofer added a 60 for Audubon with a pair of 5’s.

The Wheelers will golf at the Western Iowa Conference Meet in Atlantic on Wednesday with their front nine scores counting as their dual meet with IKM-Manning.

The Titans fell on Tuesday with Sam Stuart leading the way for them with a 5th place finish. Pocahontas Area had four golfers in the 40’s with Carly Janssen earning medalist honors with a 46 and Nicole Panbecker and Katrina Aljets both shooting a 48.

Stuart led the Titans with a 52, shooting par 4 on number 2 to go with another 4 and 3-5’s. Charissa Nowatzke shot a 54, shooting par on the par 4 2nd hole and score a pair of 5’s. Kyra Bruns shot a 57 with 3-5’s and Mia Babcock ended with a 59 with a 5 on number 9.

The Titans will be at the Twin Lakes Conference Meet at Lakeside Municipal on Wednesday.

Coon Rapids Bayard and Glidden Ralston At Boyer Valley

Coon Rapids Bayard and Boyer Valley were the only teams that had enough golfers to qualify for a team score and the Bulldogs topped the Crusaders 209 to 235 to win the meet. The Bulldogs picked up Medalist with Maci Miller (44) and Runner-Up Medalist Mackenzie Dumbaugh (49).

Brynn Bass golfed well, while golfing quickly, as she headed straight from the golf meet to run at the conference track meet also held in Dunlap. Bass led the Crusaders with a 52. She had a pair of 4’s and 3-5’s in her 9 holes. Emma Hart struggled with her short game, in her interview after her round and finished with a 53. Morgan Hart added a 59 and Macy Winnet shot a 71 for the Crusaders. Addy Boell paced Glidden Ralston with a 59, though she felt she didn’t shoot her best round. Breanna Schon had her best round of the season finishing with a 60 and Elizabeth Lloyd added a 65 for the Wildcats.
