It was a busy night for the Kuemper defense as Class 2A 7th ranked Lewis Central kept the pressure in a 10-0 win. The match ended with 17:03 left in the 2nd half when the Titans scored their fourth goal in the 2nd half. Kuemper played well on defense but struggled to keep the ball on their offensive end, finishing with no shots on goal. With Lewis Central controlling the ball, they wore down the Kuemper defense and were able to use a couple scoring runs. Lewis Central went ahead 1-0 at 30:06 in the first half. The Knights defense stiffened again, holding the Titans scoreless for nearly seven minutes with Ashlyn Badding making several nice stops in the net. Lewis Central went on a run near the midpoint of the half scoring 3 goals from 23:19 to 18:20, leading 4-0. They added a pair of goals in the final 1:17 of the half and led 6-0 at half. Kuemper played well again on defense to start the 2nd half but the constant pressure applied by the Titans allowed them to score 4 goals from the 30:09 mark to their final goal at 17:03 that ended the match.
Ashlyn Badding finished the night with 18 saves.
