Brincks Exteriors Sports Report: Five Area Girls Golf Teams Competed on Tuesday

Girls Golf Results Tuesday, April 26th 

Carroll and Bondurant Farrar At Winterset 

Carroll finished 2nd at the triangular on Tuesday, shooting a 214 to easily top Bondurant Farrar which shot a 250. Winterset was able to shoot very well on their home course to win with a 197. Jaya West of Winterset was medalist with a 39 while Ashlee Danner of Carroll won runner-up medalist honors with a 47. Danner finished shooting par on holes four and eight. Erin Winker added a 51 for the Tigers with a par on hole 8. Oliva Boes shot 55, with a par on 9 and Makalei Kofron added a 61.

The Tigers will play at the Carroll Country Saturday in the Kuemper Invite.

East Sac At South Central Calhoun

South Central Calhoun 264

East Sac got a nice road win on nearly perfect day in Lake City. The Raiders used a pair of pars and solid days from Sidney Beiret and Lexi Thomsen to shoot a 253. South Central Calhoun felt as though they struggled on their home course with all four of their top golfers finishing in the 60’s for a 264. Several of the young Titans continued to show improvements in their scores. East Sac got the best rounds of the season so far from Beiret and Thomsen.

Sidney Beiret shot par on holes five and eight, helping to propel her to medalist honors with a 52. Lexi Thomsen was a big part of the Raiders success shooting a 62 and earning runner-up medalist. Emily Hansen was also in the 60’s, finishing with a 68 while Kendal Quirk shot a 71. Sam Stuart led the Titans with a 64, just edging past Kyra Bruns who slashed three more strokes off her best score in her first season in golf. Bruns finished with a 66, a stroke ahead of Mia Babcock and Lauren Kokrow who both shot 67.

East Sac goes to Manson NW Webster on Thursday while South Central Calhoun heads to St Mary’s.

Audubon At Tri Center

Audubon continues to grow as a team, scoring their season best with a 209 in an 11 stroke win at Tri Center. The Wheelers had all four varsity girls shot in the 50’s and swept the medal  honors. Every Wheeler shot their season averages and Head Coach Paul Lynch was very happy with their growth and performance.

Kali Irlmeier continues to be a strong leader for the Wheelers, earning medalist with a 50. Sienna Albertsen was runner-up medalist, shooting a 52, edging Allison Elmquist by 1 stroke. Kacie Anthofer was also very strong shooting a 54 as the girls were all within 4 strokes of each other.

Audubon will play again on  Thursday at Griswold.

LoMa At IKM-Manning

IKM-Manning picked up another win on Tuesday, knocking off LoMa 211 to 222. The Wolves had all four scorers shoot below 65 with Kylie Powers earning medalist honors with a 41. Megan Williams added a 57, Bailee Germer a 60 and Eryn Ramsey scored a 64. Powers didn’t have a hole above 6, shooting 4-5’s, 3-4’s and a 3 to go with her 6.

The Wolves host Boyer Valley and Denison Schleswig on Thursday.
