Boys Golf Results for Tuesday April 26th
Denison Schleswig at Carroll
Carroll had a dominant day on the course Tuesday as they took on Denison Schleswig and had one of their best days of the season. The Tigers cruised past the Monarchs as a team by 28 strokes thanks to their top three golfers doing well. Will Ragaller, Drew Munson, and Bryce Berlau all ended their days with 40s for scores, but it was Ragaller named medalist and Munson named runner up medalist. Munson was able to par on holes two, three, six, and birdie on hole seven, while Ragaller struggled on the beginning holes, but turned things around for a par on hole three, birdie on hole four, and pars on holes five and nine. Berlau was locked from the start with pars on holes one, two, four, five, and six, but had double bogies on holes seven and nine. Conner Kirsch still put up a solid score with the fourth and final golfer to score for the Tigers, ending his day with a 46.
The Tigers are back in action on Saturday, April 30th as they and Kuemper travel to Storm Lake.

East Sac at South Central Calhoun
A battle between two area teams in golf happened on Tuesday where the South Central Calhoun Titans claimed victory over the East Sac Raiders. The Titans’ top three golfers had great days on the course, helping their team to a 30 stroke victory over the Raiders with a score of 177. Justin Hanks and Nik Whipkey both were the day’s top golfers, with Hanks being named medalist with a score of 42 and Wipkey with a score of 43 was named runner up medalist. Hanks had to make up for a bad hole one, and he did with birdies on holes three and four and pars on holes two, five, and nine. Whipkey was able to record pars on holes one, two, and eight, but had some bogies sprinkled in his performance. Bryan Steig was in contention for runner up medalist with a score of 43, but was beaten out by Whipkey in the head to head. Kadynn Isaacs rounded out the scoring for the Titans with a score of 49.
East Sac still had some good performances despite not winning as a team. Carter Hogrefe led the Raiders with a top score of 49. He was able to par on hole one and end the course with a birdie on hole nine. Brayden Burns, with pars on holes three, six, and eight, was able to close out his day with a score of 51. Ryan Zimmerman was right behind Burns and recorded a score of 52. Finally, Jack Swanger closed out the scoring for East Sac with a score of 55.
Both teams will be back in action on Thursday, April 28th. East Sac will travel to Newell Fonda and South Central Calhoun goes to Alta-Aurelia.

Audubon at Tri-Center
Audubon’s top four golfers had some solid days overall, but Tri-Center golfed just a touch better than the Wheelers on Tuesday. The Trojans were only a few steps ahead of the Wheelers, winning the meet by four strokes with a team score of 181 compared to Audubon’s 185. Edward Miller was Audubon’s front runner on the day, completing the course with a score of 44 and earning runner up medalist honors. Jay Remsburg was right beside Miller as he ended the day with a score of 45. Not too far behind him was Oliver Deist with a score of 47. Finally, concluding the scoring for Audubon was Evan Alt who ended the day with a 49, as did Derek Bald. The Wheelers continue their week of meets as they travel with the girls’ team to Griswold on Thursday, April 28th.

LoMa at IKM-Manning
IKM-Manning had great golfing weather Tuesday as they took on LoMa. The Panthers utilized the nice day to go out and record a score of 185 as a team, and while IKM-Manning still had good performances, put up a team score of 203. Max Nielsen was the leader of the pack and got himself medalist honors with a score of 43. Josh Walker and Nolan Ramsey shot identical scores as they both ended the day with scores of 53. Devyn Sander was not too far away from either Ramsey or Sander as he ended his day with a score of 54. The Wolves are finished with meets for this week, as they are off until Monday, May 2nd when they travel with the girls’ team to take on Audubon.
