Girls Golf Results for Thursday, April 21st
Perry and Saydel at Carroll
The Carroll Tigers put together a solid day on the course as they took on Perry and Saydel Thursday afternoon. The Tigers claimed victory as a team with a score of 208, followed by Perry with a score of 222 and Saydel with 225. The Tigers were led by Erin Winker who finished the day with a score of 50, good enough to give her runner up medalist honors. She told Carroll Broadcasting after the meet that she was happy with her performance, but her chipping in needed some work. Ashlee Danner was one step behind her with a score of 51. Danner said she and Winker have had a one stroke difference for the last few meets, and while happy with her performance, says she needs to slow down when attempting putts.
Maikalei Kofron and Delaney Schurke weren’t too far away from Winker and Danner as they rounded out the scoring for Carroll with scores of 53 and 54 respectively. The Tigers return to action on Monday, April 25th when they play host to Bondurant Farrar and ADM at the country club.

Audubon at Missouri Valley
Audubon traveled to Missouri Valley to take on the Lady Reds and came away with a solid day on the course. The Wheelers were victorious with a team score of 238 compared to Missouri Valley’s score of 273. Audubon’s Sienna Albertsen was able to contribute well to the team score with a day best 50, earning her medalist honors. Kali Irlmeier claimed runner-up medalist honors as she shot a 53 on the course. Allison Elmquist completed the course with a score of 62 while Kacie Anthofer rounded out the scoring for the Wheelers with a 73. The Wheelers will travel with the boys’ team to Treynor on Monday, April 25th.

Pocahontas Area at East Sac
The East Sac Raiders played host to Pocahontas Area on a warm Thursday afternoon where they came away with some good individual performances. Pocahontas Area was able to edge out East Sac for the team win with a score of 221 compared to East Sac’s 265. Despite that, The Titans had some good individual performanced. Sidney Bieret’s day on the course ended with a par on holes two and five and a score of 54, giving her runner up medalist honors. Cianna Johnson ended her day with a score of 67, with her best hole at hole five with a double bogey. Kendall Quirk and Tristin Ludwig rounded out the scoring for the Raiders with Quirk scoring 70 and Ludwig scoring 74. The Raiders return to action on Monday, April 25th when they travel to Manson NW Webster.

South Central Calhoun at West Bend Mallard
The South Central Calhoun Titans claimed victory over West Bend Mallard on Thursday afternoon. The Titans ended the day with a team score of 298 with West Bend Mallard posting a score of 319. Lauren Korkow had the best day among the Titans, with a score of 68 and earning runner-up medalist honors. Her best performance was at hole eight where she got a birdie. Sam Stuart was only two strokes behind Korkow as she ended the day with a score of 70. Charissa Nowatzke and Kyra Bruns completed the scoring for the Titans as they both posted scores of 80. South Central Calhoun will close out their week of competition when they compete in the SE Valley Tournament on Friday, April 22nd.
