Harlan At Kuemper
Kuemper 8
Harlan 1
Kuemper did a nice job of adjusting to the elements on a windy and cool day at Graham Park. The Knights attacked the net, taking away the short ball when they were playing with the wind at their backs. That adjustment helped them break open a few of the singles matches that were tight early. Kuemper wasn’t pushed in most of the matches as Jordan Schwabe and Alyssa Brant each went to deuce twice and Schwabe to Add In once. They both won those games as Kuemper went 46-15 in singles, winning five of the six matches. Doubles went better as the Knights swept all three matches winning 24 of the 36 games played.
Kuemper didn’t get any sweeps in singles but Samantha Tidgren, Alyssa Brant and Keziah Janssen all won 8-1 with Jordan Schwabe and Ella Schwarte both won 8-2. Tidgren and Schwabe won their doubles match 8-2, Schwarte and Janssen won 8-4 and Brant and Rohe won a tight 8-6 match.
The Knights improved to 7-2 on the season. Kuemper travels to Boone on Thursday.
