Audubon At Atlantic Tournament
Audubon played well in their second competition of the season at the Atlantic Tournament. The Wheelers finished the day with a 3rd place, 5th place and two 6th place finishes. They combined to go 13-37 in games in singles play and 0-12 in sets. Doubles was the strength for the Wheelers, finishing 51-63 in games in doubles and 6-6 in sets. The doubles teams combined to go 3-3 in matches as well.
The top group for Audubon was their number 1 doubles team of Audrey Jensen and Kya Peterson. They finished 3rd overall, going 2-1 in matches, 4-2 in sets and 32-32 in games. Jensen and Peterson won their 3rd place match 7-6, 6-4. Jocelyn Chambers and Ava Slater finished 5th in number two doubles. They went 19-31 in games, 2-4 in sets and 1-2 in matches. They were very sharp in the 1st set of their 5th place match winning it 6-1. They battled hard to win the 2nd set 7-5 to sweep the match.
Geralyn Anderson finished 6th in number 1 singles, going 10-37 in games, 0-6 in sets and 0-3 in matches. She nearly won the 2nd set in her 5th place match, falling 7-5. Rachael Rynearson played in number 2 singles, finishing 6th, going 3-36 in games, 0-6 in sets and 0-3 in matches.
The Wheelers are back in action on Tuesday at SW Valley.
