Carroll battled hard in the first half, holding Carlisle scoreless until the 8:59 mark. The Wildcats added a goal at the 1:59 mark and led Carroll 2-0 at half. Carroll controlled the ball on their offensive end more than half of the first half but was unable to score, getting a few shots on goal. The Tigers finished with four shots on goal. The late goals in the first half gave Carlisle the momentum going into half. They used that momentum and the wind at their back in the second half, scoring goals at 33:11. 32:27, 27:43 and 26:44 to lead 6-0. The lead grew with three more goals, the last coming with 4:15 left in the match. Carlisle finished the night with 29 shots on goal.
Tanner Heithoff was busy in the goal, finishing with 20 saves. Heithoff made several nice plays, coming out at the ball in the first half and making physical stops in traffic around the goal in the second half. Clayton Weitl led the Tigers offensive attack with 2 shots on goal.
Carroll falls to 0-2 on the season and in the Raccoon River Conference. They travel to ADM on Friday.
