Girls Soccer Results Saturday, April 9th 

Kuemper Girls At Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson Tournament 

Kuemper fell down early in both matches on Saturday as they slipped to 0-4 on the season. The girls did a nice job of recovering late in each half and playing better to close each half and start the 2nd half. Kuemper lost 6-0 to Underwood as Ashlyn Badding had a busy day in goal, finishing the match with 14 saves. Kuemper struggled to get looks on the offensive end with Kenya Prescott having two goals and Frannie Glynn had one shot on goal. Kuemper had chances in their match with Sioux City North. The offense was much sharper, with Catherine Mayhall leading the attack with 6 shots on goal, scoring the lone goal for Kuemper in a 2-1 loss. Kenya Prescott added 3 shots on goal and Clare Janson had a shot on goal. The defense also showed good improvement allowing only 8 shots on goal and a pair of goals. Ashlyn Badding finished the match with 6 saves.

Kuemper will look to bounce back on Monday when they travel to Harlan looking for their first win of the season.
