Drew Munson shot a 41 to earn medalist honors for Carroll High, edging Nathan Behne and Joe Carey of Greene County, after they both shot 42. Behne earned runner-up medalist honors. The Rams won the team match on a tie-breaker, sending the Tigers to a loss in their first match of the season. Carroll had three golfers in the 40’s and everyone shot below 60. The Rams had all six golfers in the 40’s with their high score in their top four of 47. Carroll high score in their top four as 50. Munson finished with par’s on holes 3, 4, 6 and 7 and a birdie on 9. Will Ragaller shot a 43, Bryce Berlau had a 44 and Miles Bogue shot a 50.
The Tigers head to Ballard next Tuesday for their next scheduled match.

The Wheelers opened their season with an impressive win at home, having all four of their top scorers shoot in the 40’s. AHSTW had four golfers play the round with Nate Jorgensen leading them with a 44. He was their only golfer under 61. Audubon swept the medal honors with Jay Remsburg and Oliver Deist both shooting a 43. Remsburg shot par on holes 1 and 5 before closing out his round with par’s on 8 and 9. Deist was also solid with par on holes 1, 3 and 5. Remsburg earned Medalist honors in a scorecard playoff that was based on hole handicap. Edward Miller added a 47 and Evan Alt shot 49 for the Wheelers.
The Wheelers will host Underwood at 4:00 on Thursday.

Missouri Valley At IKM-Manning At M&M Golf Course

IKM-Manning dropped a tough match at their home course to open the season. Missouri Valley edged them by two strokes though Max Nielsen was able to win medalist honors. Nielsen was the lone IKM-Manning golfer under 50, shooting a 42. Nielsen shot par on holes 4 and 5. Carson Wendt of Missouri Valley earned runner-up medalist honors with a 45. The Big Red had two golfers in the 40’s and their other two scores were 51 and 55. Josh Walker was the next low scorer for IKM-Manning with a 51. He was followed by Andan Spooner with a 53 and Nolan Ramsey with a 54.
IKM-Manning will host LoMa at the M&M Golf Course on Tuesday.

Coon Rapids Bayard and Glidden Ralston opened the season at the Rolling Valley Conference Meet at the Atlantic Country Club. The Crusaders shot a 185 to finish 3rd place with their top four scorers all shooting in the 40’s. Glidden Ralston was 6th with 225 with their top four scorers all in the 50’s. Boyer Valley won the meet with a 172 and had the medalist in Devin Melby. He shot a 38, winning the honors by 1 stroke over Cory Bantam of Woodbine who shot a 39.
Preston McAlister led the Crusaders with a 43 and tied for 4th place overall. Jacob Estrada finished in 8th place with a 45. Toby Benninger shot a 48 and Trey Rosenbeck finished with a 49 for Coon Rapids Bayard. Caden Wenck and John Whitver paced the Wildcats, as both shot a 55. Caden Smith added a 57 and Mark Lensch finished with a 58 for the Wildcats.
Coon Rapids Bayard heads to the 5×80 Golf and Country Club on Friday along with West Central Valley and Exira-EHK. Glidden Ralston is off until next Monday and heads to Boyer Valley.
