Boys Swim Results for Friday, February 13th
Carroll at Day 1 of State Swim Meet
Carroll Boys Swim opened up their state meet with 4 events and all of their singular event prelims. Teagan Renze, Leegan Sease, and Landen Cadwell all competed and competed well on the day. Teagan Renze had a day as he would qualify in both of his events for the finals. Top 16 qualifies and Teagan is now seeded 1st after a 1:37.59 in the 200 free which shaved 2 seconds off of the time in which he used to qualify. Renze flinched during his start as a metal water bottle hit the floor which caused Renze to swim the whole event thinking he would find his way to being disqualified after leaving the pool. Two other swimmers had the same flinch but none of them left the starting block which allows them to remain legal competitors. Renze also qualified in the 100 free with a time of 44.58 which makes him apart of both events and both relays the Tigers have on Saturday. Leegan Sease and Landen Cadwell both swam in the 200 IM which Sease would take sixth and qualify with a time of 1:54.54. Cadwell had a time of 2:04.65 which was good for 23rd. Sease also qualified in the 100 Breast with a time of 56.25. Sease will also swim in 4 events tomorrow with the 2 relays. The Tigers qualify 4 events and 2 guys as they swim Day 2 and the finals on Saturday.
