Carroll and Kuemper At Class 1A Region 1 At Carroll
Carroll and Kuemper bowled well at the Regional Meet held in Carroll on Monday against strong competition. They fell short of qualifying as a team for the State Meet, as their seasons came to an end. The Knights had five girls compete, finishing with a 1565 and Carroll had six girls bowl, finishing with a 1482. The Knights took 6th place and Carroll High finished in 7th. Charles City won the meet, qualifying for State with a 2375. HMS had the top two individual scores with Jordan Lux bowling a 574 and Mason VerHeist finishing with a 537. They both advanced as individuals, as did Hailey Rule (534) of Charles City and Rayne Tesch (533) of HMS. HMS was 2nd in the team standings with a 2344.
Morgan Williams of Carroll High was the top individual bowler locally, finishing with a 428, she was followed on the Tigers by Aikidyn Bowen with a 334, Esme Weller with a 332 and Jenni Villanueva with a 307. Riley Farris paced Kuemper with a 330, Elizabeth Segebart bowled a 328, Lauren Lenz a 298 and Aida Nepple had a 270.
