Boys State Wrestling Tournament Results for Class 1A and 2A for Thursday, February 19th 

Carroll had a strong day with three for their five wrestlers advancing into Friday with Quinten Polking in the semifinals and Kieran Polking and Gavin Holt in the consolation brackets. The Tigers are 16th in the Class 2A standings with 24-points. The Tigers went 6-6 in matches with all six wins by fall. South Central Calhoun is 20th in Class 1A with 19-points. They went 4-5 in matches with all four wins by fall. Karson Wuebker and Jace Pedersen are in the quarterfinals and Curtis Bullock is on the backside.  Coon Rapids Bayard had a strong day with Treynor Cose in the quarterfinals and Caleb Hoffman and Johnny Cortez in the consolation brackets. They are in 22nd place in Class 1A, going 5-4 in matches wrestled with three wins by fall, a tech fall and a major decision. Dawson Allen advanced to Friday in the consolation brackets for East Sac. The Raiders are 58th in Class 1A with 7-points. They went 2-3 in matches wrestled with both wins by fall. Leyton Elmquist of Audubon made the quarterfinals with the Wheelers going 1-6 in matches wrestled with their win by fall. They are currently 67th in Class 1A with 6-points. Kuemper is 76th in Class 2A, going 0-4 in matches on Thursday.

Karson Wuebker and Jace Pedersen both went 1-0 for South Central Calhoun, with both winning by fall. Curtis Bullock went 2-1 with both wins by fall. Quinten Polking was 1-0 for Carroll with his win by fall. Gavin Holt and Kieran Polking both going 2-1 with Kieran winning both matches in comeback fashion by fall and Holt adding a pair of wins by fall. Leyton Elmquist was 1-0 for Audubon, with his win by fall. Treynor Cose of Coon Rapids Bayard went 1-0 with his win by tech fall. Johnny Cortez was 2-1 with both wins by fall and Caleb Hoffman went 1-1 with his win by fall. Dawson Allen of East Sac went 2-1 with both wins by fall.
