Parker Ingram continues to swing a good bat for the Merchants, hitting a solo home run in the 3rd inning. He finished with one of the two hits for the Merchants in a tough loss on the road Thursday. J Rochester picked up the other hit for the Merchants, that coming right after the Ingram home run. Carroll had three players earn walks. Clarinda jumped out early with a run in the 1st inning, adding 4 more in the 2nd. they put the game away with 3 in the 4th and 5 more runs in the 6th inning. Clarinda out hit the Merchants 12-2.
Carroll used three pitchers with Will Larson going 2 innings, allowing 3 hits and 5 earned runs, Hunter Reid went 3 innings, giving up 9 hits and 7 earned runs and Cannon Frazier striking out 2 in 1 inning of work.
