Girls State Golf Results for Friday, May 27th
Kylie Powers of IKM-Manning and Addy Boell of Glidden Ralston have concluded their 2022 golf season with good showings at State Golf Friday. After the first day, Powers was tied for fifth with a first-round score of 83 while Boell was tied for 26th place with a score of 96. On day two, both golfers were able to get some pars throughout the front and back nine but did see some struggles as well.
Powers was able to par on the front nine on holes one, four, and seven, but also had four double bogies or worse. The back nine started off a bit rocky for her, but she eventually got back on track with back-to-back pars on holes 14 and 15. Powers ended the front nine with a score of 48 and the back nine with a score of 44, ending the day together with a score of 92. All together, Powers ended her time at state golf finishing 8th overall with a tournament score of 175.
Boell on day two saw similar struggles in the front nine. She had two pars on holes five and nine, but also had four holes that ended with double bogies or worse, ending the front nine with a score of 53. In the back nine, Boell had five double bogies or worse in the first five of the six holes but eventually was able to get a par on hole 16 and closed out the back nine with a score of 51. In total, Boell ended day two with a score of 104 and concluded her time at state golf with a score of 200, good for 34th overall.
