North Polk and Ballard At Carroll
Carroll continued their hot start to the second part of the season sweeping a pair of Raccoon River Conference teams. The Tigers beat Ballard for the first time in school history, getting off to a quick start as Cael Nelson picked up a win by fall at 120 pounds. Levi Dirkx kept it going with a win by fall at 126. Carroll built a 30-0 lead behind two wins by fall, two wins by decision from Owen Klocke at 138 and Carter Drake at 145. Cooper Ludwig and Jireh Gallegos both won by forfeit. The Tigers knew they would need to dominate the opening weights with three forfeits they were giving away at the upper weight classes. Sterling Rodman picked up a crucial win at 170 with a win by fall, extending the Carroll lead to 36-3. After the forfeits Carroll gave up at 182, 195 and 220 they would lose by fall at 285 as Ballard pulled within 36-27. Carroll needed one more win to wrap up their first ever win over the Bombers. Enter Dreylen Schweitzer, he came out aggressive, picking up a take down early for a 2-0 lead. Schweitzer stayed in control the entire match, giving up a couple release escapes late in the 3rd period but picked up a 10-2 win to clinch the match for Carroll.
The Tigers battled back from a tough loss at 113 in the opening match against North Polk. Cael Nelson, Levi Dirkx, Cooper Ludwig, Carter Drake and Jireh Gallegos all won by fall, Justin Riesberg picked up a 5-2 win and Sterling Rodman kept the Tigers win streak going with another fall. Carroll dropped five straight matches with three of those by forfeit. Dreylen Schweitzer picked up another crucial win with Carroll up 39-36, he won by decision to clinch the Carroll win to open the night.
Carroll finished the night going 6-3 vs Ballard and 8-3 vs North Polk in matches wrestled. Dreylen Schwietzer, Cael Nelson, Levi Dirkx, Cooper Ludwig, Carter Drake, Jireh Gallegos and Sterling Rodman all went 2-0 for the Tigers. Owen Klocke ended the night 1-0.

Kuemper, Creston/OM and St Albert At Clarinda
Kuemper went 2-1 in matches with dominating wins over Clarinda and St Albert and a loss to Creston/OM. The Knights went 13-13 in matches wrestled going 3-10 vs Creston/OM, 5-3 vs Clarinda and 5-0 vs St Albert. Kuemper finished with six wins by fall, a major decision and a win by tech fall.
There were four wrestlers that went perfect for Kuemper with Riley Parkis going 3-0 with a win by decision and two forfeits, Shae Parkis went 3-0 with a win by fall and two by decision, Will Healy was 1-0 with a fall and Logan Rial finished 1-0 with a forfeit win. Owen Nepple, Jake Hausman, Kent Sanders, Jake Irlbeck, Hayden Stout, Bryce Wiskus, Brayden Riesberg and Cal Wanninger all went 2-1 with Wanninger’s loss coming at 285.

Ogden, SE Valley and Earlham At Audubon
Audubon went 7-11 in matches wrestled while dropping all three duals at home on Thursday. The Wheelers had their best match against Ogden, going 4-3 in matches. They finished 2-4 vs SE Valley and 1-4 against Earlham which was the closest dual team score. Audubon finished with four wins by fall and a major decision.
Cooper Nielsen and Alex Foran both went 3-0 for the Wheelers with Nielsen getting a major decision and two forfeits, Foran picked up all three wins by forfeit. Jack Stanerson and Alex Hanson both went 2-1 with both of Stanerson wins coming by fall and both of Hanson wins by decision.

Two of their three wins were by fall and the other was by decision.
