Carroll At Greene County Tournament
Carroll finished 2-2 in matches on Saturday and was 6-5 in sets as they improve to 16-13 on the season. The Tigers rolled past Des Moines Hoover in pool play winning the first set by 16 points and sweeping the match in 2 sets. They inched past Greene County in set 1, but fell in a close 2nd set before controlling the 3rd set for their 2nd victory of the day. Carroll had a pair of close losses dropping 2-1 decisions to both Pella Christiana and 3rd ranked South Hardin. Carroll took the 2nd set against Pella Christian but fell in the 3rd set by 4 points. Against undefeated South Hardin, Carroll dropped the 1st set but dominated the 2nd set winning 21-10. South Hardin got out quick and controlled the 3rd set to pick up the win.
Josie Ayala led four players in double figures in kills with 36, Camryn Schable added 18, Alyssa Brant 13 and Chloe Ludwig 11. Shayne Aschinger and Kaitlyn Tigges each had 26 assists and Riley Nagl finished with 14 assists. Hannah Jorgensen continues her strong season with a team high 41 digs, Josie Ayala added 20 digs, Madison Tunning 13, Riley Nagl 13, Kaitlyn Tigges 11 and Ava Gross 10 digs. Josie Ayala, Camryn Schable and Alexia Thornock all had 4 blocks and Chloe Ludwig finished with a team high 5 aces.
Carroll improved to 16-14 on the season. They head to Carlisle on Tuesday.

IKM-Manning At Tri Center Tournament
IKM-Manning went 0-5 on the day but had several close sets as they continue to show growth this season. The Wolves battled hard against a good Red Oak team losing the first set 21-15. They lost by just 4 points in the 2nd set against Westwood and pushed Atlantic and Tri Center in a set as well. IKM-Manning fell to 1-21 on the season.
Kylie Powers had 6 kills and Amber Halbur and Bianca Cadwell each added 5 kills. Taylor Ferneding led the setters with 14 assists and Amber Halbur added 8 assists. Bianca Cadwell had 12 digs, Jessica Chrsitensen 9 digs and Taylor Ferneding 7 digs. Kylie Powers added 3 blocks and Bianca Cadwell, Jessica Christensen and Jersey Bexten all had 2 aces.
The Wolves travel to LoMa on Tuesday.
