Girls Swimming Results for Saturday, October 16th
Carroll at Lewis Central
The Carroll Tigers had some tough competition Saturday, but were able to leave Saturday’s meet with a second place team finish and nine top three event finishes.
Jenna Currier and Emma Myers both took home four top three finishes at this meet. Myers took home first in the 200 IM with a time of 2:20.02 and the 400 free relay with teammates Ellie and Ashley Beagle and Currier in a time of 3:50.16. Myers joined Sophia Polking, Amelia Holt, and Hailey Burns in the 200 medley relay that got third in the event with a time of 1:57.25. Myers also took home a third place finish in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:09.09. Currier continued to impress in her individual event as she won the 50 free with a time of 25.07 and the 100 fly with a time of 1:01.39. Currier was also part of the 200 free relay, along with Holt, Burns, and Ellie Beagle, that won the event with a time of 1:45.29.
Ellie Beagle was able to grab a top three individual placement in the 500 free, securing a third place finish with a time of 5:44.97. Finally Holt was able to finish right behind Currier in the 50 free in second place with a time of 26.38. As a team, the Tigers captured second place in the team standings with 368 points. Sioux City Metro won the meet with 386 points.
The Tigers will welcome Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln on Tuesday, October 19th.
