Kuemper hosted Creston for their final matchup of the season and had a chance to wrap up a Hawkeye 10 conference title. The Knights were hot off a win over St. Albert on Tuesday at the Caseys Center in Des Moines. The Knights rolled early and played well which was led by their two guards/forwards in Griffin Glynn and Dylan Schon as both recorded double digits over the course of the game. The Knights jumped up 10 in the first at 16-6. Kuempers offense rolled in the 2nd and 3rd for a combined 48 points and only let up 26 as they would fly to a double digit lead heading into the 4th. The Knights had some backups in where Creston added 17 and cut the game down a little more. Kuemper would stand tall with a 73-49 win to close out the regular season with a Hawkeye 10 conference title and a 18-3 season while closing out the year winning 12 straight. The Knights await the winner of Alta-Aurelia and Manson NW Webster to open the postseason.

IKM-Manning at Audubon

Audubon hosted IKM-Manning in their second matchup of the season. Audubon picked up the win the first time around at IKM-Manning. The Wolves and Wheelers came out neck and neck with each team not being able to get ahead of the other which had an 11-11 tie at the first quarter. IKM-Manning’s offense was turned up in the 2nd as they added 24 and held Audubon to 14 for a 10 point lead at the half. Audubon chipped back at it in the 3rd and cut it to a one possession game. IKM-Manning got their offense back in the 4th and were able to win 61-52. Both teams are in the same region in the postseason and may see each other in the second round.

South Central Calhoun fell to Storm Lake on the road Thursday. The Tornadoes have been a top 5 team all season while SCC has climbed back t0 11-9 heading into the night. The Titans and Tornadoes were close to start the game with both offenses scoring well. The Titans trailed 21-15 after the first. The Tornadoes defense picked up as they held SCC to 10 and led 42-25 at the halftime break. In the 3rd, Storm Lake added 23 and in the 4th they added 13 as the Tornadoes picked up a 78-43 win. SCC falls to 11-10 on the year.

East Sac fell to Ridge View on Thursday evening. Ridge View and East Sac were offensively slow to start the game as the Raptors took a 13-6 lead. The second quarter is where East Sac struggled offensively as Ridge Views defense was able to pressure the ball heavy and held the Raiders to 2 points as they jumped out by double digits at the half. Ridge View was able to pick up a 61-34 win at home. East Sac falls to 4-17 on the year and faces South Central Calhoun to open up the postseason.
