Girls Wrestling Results Friday, January 16th 

Kuemper At Perry Tournament 

Kuemper had a strong night, going 17-15 in matches wrestled with an individual champion, two girls in 2nd and three girls finish in 3rd place. The Knights finished a half point out of 3rd place, edged out by North Tama, 107-points to 106.5-points. Dallas Center Grimes won the meet with 201-points and SE Polk was 2nd with 185-points. Kuemper had 12 wins by fall, 3 by decision, a sudden victory and a tech fall. Six of their wrestlers finished the tournament above .500.

Rylie Massey is wrestling very well and earned herself a title at 170-pounds. Massey went 4-0 with three wins by fall and winning her finals match by tech fall. Sadie Smith and Anna Schuette both went 2-1, finishing in 2nd pace with Smith having two wins by fall and Schuette a fall and a decision. Three Knights finished in 3rd place with Madigan Hoyt going 3-1 wit a fall and two decisions, Riley Sommerfeld going 2-1 with two wins by fall and Cara Schuette going 3-1 with all three of her wins by fall.
