IKM-Manning hung tough early, but ACGC kept using small runs to take control of the game, then put it away with a late run to end the 1st half and a dominate 3rd quarter. The Wolves had a chance late in the 1st half to pull within single digits, down 31-20 with the ball but the Chargers ended the half strong and led 35-21 at half. The Chargers outscored the Wolves 29-14 in the 2nd half.
Anna Stangl pulled with Wolves within 3-2 early but the Chargers pushed the lead to 8-2. A Stangl three and the Wolves were down 8-5, but ACGC went on a 9-0 run to take control. Addisyn Bandow hit a pair of free throw and Anna Stangl added two more free throws late in the 1st quarter but ACGC held a 24-9 lead going to the 2nd quarter, closing the quarter on a 5-0 run. Oriah Meiners hit a bucket early in the 2nd quarter and Keagan Eischeid, who had a strong game inside added a pair of free throws, pulling the Wolves within 27-13. The Wolves shot free throws well in the 1st half, going 7-10. The defense clamped down most of the 2nd quarter, holding the Chargers to 5-points with less than 2:00 left in the half. Karlee Arp drained a three and Anna Stangl hit a runner and IKM-Manning pulled within 29-18,. They trailed 31-20 and had the ball but turned it over and ACGC outscored them 4-1 over the final 0:40 and led 35-21 at half.
A 5-0 Chargers run to start the 2nd half separated them for the Wolves. Keagan Eischeid had a bucket inside and Addisyn Bandow scored on a play inside with Anna Stangl knocking down a shot to pull with Wolves within 43-27. An 8-0 run by ACGC to close the 3rd quarter put the game away for the Chargers. They grabbed their largest lead 31-point lead late in the game.
Anna Stangl paced the Wolves with 14 points to go with 8 rebounds and 2 steals. Keagan Eischeid had a strong game inside with 7 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocked shots. Addisyn Bandow had 8 rebounds and 6 points.
The Wolves start the season 0-1, falling to the 8th ranked team in Class 2A. They host Tri Center on Tuesday, December 2nd.
