Kuemper trailed by three late in the 3rd quarter but top ranked St Albert ended the quarter on a 7-0 run, taking control of the game. They edged away early in the 4th but the Knights cut it to 10 with just over a minute to go before the Saintes hit three late free throws and scored a bucket in the final 0:30 to push the lead to 15.

St Albert started the game with a 4-0 run but Kuemper tied the game with a Karsyn Overmohle free throw and a three from Cierra Pudenz, who shot the ball well in the 1st half. The Saintes responded with a 6-0 run and led 12-6 at the end of the 1st quarter. Karsyn Overmohle scored a bucket for Kuemper early in the 2nd quarter, pulling the Knights  within 12-8. Overmohle had a strong offensive game. The Saintes went on another small run, scoring seven in a row to lead 19-8. Kuemper responded again with Cierra Pudenz hitting a three, Karsyn Overmohle making a couple free throws and Elsa Tiefenthaler scoring on a nice drive. The Knights pulled within 19-15 and trailed 21-15 at half.

The Saintes lead grew to 25-15 early in the 2nd half but Alivia Schenkleberg scored inside and Karsyn Overmohle hit a three, pulling the Knights within 27-20. Morgan Masching cut it to 27-22. The Knights kept battling and Karsyn Overmohle hit another three, pulling them within 30-27 late in the 3rd. The Saintes closed the quarter on a 7-0 run using a spurt of Kuemper turnovers. Elsa Tiefenthaler hit a free throw early in the 4th but the Saintes pushed the lead to 42-28, their largest lead at that point of the game. The lead remained around fourteen until Caitlin Yetmar hit a three and Addy Anthofer knocked in a free throw. The Knights pulled within 45-35 but there was only 1:30 left in the game.

Karsyn Overmohle led the Knights with 14 points with 5 rebounds. Addy Anthofer worked really hard in the post, leading the Knights with 9 rebounds and blocking a pair of shots. Morgan Masching added 6 rebounds with Cierra Pudenz scoring 8 points. Elsa Tiefenthaler led the defensive effort with 4 steals.

The Knights fall to 10-10 overall and travel to Shenandoah on Friday.

After a tough 1st half the Spartans fought back and trailed by two with a minute to go but back-to-back turnovers allowed Atlantic to regain control of the game and win by eight. The Spartans played better in the 2nd half after increasing their intensity and winning more of the 50-50 balls. They had to recover from two scoreless stretches that lasted five to six minutes each. Atlantic did a nice job attacking inside, getting to the free throw line and taking advantage, going 18-20 from the line. The Spartans were down 15-12 at the end of the 1st quarter but were outscored 14-5 in the 2nd quarter and trailed 29-17 at half. The offense came out sharp in the 2nd half, pouring in 22 points, pulling within 42-39. They hung close in the 4th quarter until the final minute.

Taryn Petersen had a big game with 32 points, Riley Miller and Harlee Fahn each added 6 points.

The loss snaps the Spartans eight game winning streak, moving them to 14-4 overall. They host Paton Churdan on Tuesday.

Coon Rapids Bayard earned a win on the road, pulling away to start the 2nd half. Paton Churdan played without leading scorer Alivya Smith, battling with their best quarter coming in the 4th quarter. The Crusaders were up 23-9 at half, extending it to 42-14 after the 3rd quarter.

Malia Clayburg paced the Crusaders with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 steals. Anna Hart added 14 points, 5 assists and 7 steals. Aubrey Hofbauer had 5 rebounds and Lauren Cook finished with 4 steals.

Kaliyah Minnihan paced the Rockets with 11 points and Grace Cullum had 6 points.

The Crusaders improved to 13-3 overall and 10-1 in the Rolling Valley Conference. They host Woodbine on Tuesday on KIKD 106.7 and the CB Sports Network YouTube channel. Paton Churdan falls to 1-17 overall and 0-12 in the 0-11 in the Rolling Valley. They head to Exira-EHK on Tuesday.
