Carroll made five shots from deep in the 1st quarter with Ali Kock and Sophia Tidgren both having two and Katelyn Aden adding the other. They led 15-5 at the end of the 1st quarter, helping them earn their fifth straight win. The Tigers defense again was outstanding, especially in the 1st and 4th quarters. The Tigers only allowed one Husky to score in double figures. After hitting threes in the 1st quarter, the Tigers were able to get the ball in the paint using good ball movement. After building a 28-17 lead at half, Carroll struggled in the 3rd quarter, unable to get shots to fall. Their defense continued to play well, keeping their lead at seven going into the 4th quarter. The Tigers finished the night with six-threes as they outscored Winterset 12-5 in the 4th quarter. They have played five games in the last eight days.
Ali Kock 11 points and 5 rebounds while Chloe Kock adding 10 points and Olivia Rowedder had 8 points and 6 rebounds. Katelyn Aden finished with 9 rebounds and Sophia Tidgren added 5 steals.
Carroll moves to 13-4 overall and 8-4 in the Raccoon River Conference. They head to Bondurant Farrar on Tuesday.

A pour shooting night was too much to overcome for Kuemper as they fell at home on Friday, though they played well on defense. The knights shot 25% from the field and were 4 of 18 from beyond the arc. The defense gave them a chance as they outscored Lewis Central 11-10 in the 1st quarter and only trailed by two at half. Things began to slip away in the 3rd quarter as the Knights turned it over a few times and the Titans took advantage. They stretched their lead to 32-23 heading into the 4th quarter. Kuemper tried to make some adjustments on offense and began to have success attacking the lane and rim and Elsa Tiefenthaler cut it to a six point game in the 4th but Lewis Central held off the Knights run.
Elsa Tiefenthaler led the Knights with 12 points along with 3 assists. Kaylie Simons added 6 points and Karsyn Overmohle finished with 4 points. Cierra Pudenz and Morgan Masching helped the Knights with strong defensive nights.
Kuemper falls to 10-9 overall and will host St Albert on Monday.

Newell Fonda pressure defense caused some problems for South Central Calhoun, helping the Mustangs shoot 50% from the field as the Titans suffer a road loss. The Titans trailed 21-7 at the end of the 1st quarter and were down 43-12 at half but played better in the 2nd half. South Central Calhoun scored nearly as many points in the 3rd as they did the 1st half as they began to find some success against the Mustangs defense.
Blair Schleisman had an unofficial team high with 13 points while Bre Patterson added 9 points and Adlen Wheelock finished with 6 points and 9 rebounds. Sadie Wheelock had a big night on the boards with 10 rebounds.
The Titans fall to 7-10 heading into their road game with SE Valley on Tuesday.

Paton Churdan played pretty well, never getting allowing CAM to go on a big run but the Cougars steadily pulled away winning all four quarters by five to seven points. The Rockets best quarter was the 2nd, getting outscored 14-9. They made six-three pointers in the game with four of them coming in the 1st half.
Alivya Smith led the Rockets with 18 points with Kaliyah Minnihan adding 6 points and Ella Tasler finishing with 3 points.
The loss drops Paton Churdan to 1-16 overall. They host Coon Rapids Bayard on Monday.

IKM-Manning shot 29% from the field in a loss to 11th ranked Treynor on Friday. The Wolves were 9-25 from inside the arc but went 0-6 from beyond the arc while Treynor hit 44.7% from the field, finishing with eleven made threes. Treynor controlled the boards, allowing IKM-Manning only two offensive rebounds. The Wolves hung tight in the 1st half, trailing 25-17 at half but the game slipped away in the 3rd quarter, getting outscored 18-6. Treynor finished the 2nd half, beating IKM-Manning 35-9 over the final two quarters.
Anna Stangl had a team high 10 points with 3 steals, Taylor Beckendorf added 5 points and 4 rebounds and Keagan Eischied had 5 points.
The Wolves fall to 8-9 overall and will head to Missouri Valley on Tuesday.

East Sac played extremely hard all game with girls hustling all over the floor. They fell short on Friday on the road and had two girls injured in the game while going after a lose ball. One girl returned to the game while the other wasn’t able to but both will be okay. Head Coach Jason Phillips says he was very proud of the game an for the effort they played with on Friday. The 2nd quarter was the difference in the game with the Rebels outscoring the Raiders 14-8 to build a seven point lead at half. East Sac fought in the 2nd half. The Raiders kept battling against one of the top teams in the league cut couldn’t fully close the gap. East Sac finished the game shooting 20.4% from the field but pulled down 11 offensive rebounds. They only turned the ball over 10 times, giving them extra possessions to try and score.
Makenna Steiger, Sarah Bontrager and Addisen Ehler all had 9 points with Ehler adding a team high 12 rebounds. Bontrager had 4 assists and 3 steals. Kendall Quirk pitched in 9 rebounds and Jordin Carroll had 6 rebounds.
The Raiders fall to 8-9 overall and will host GTRA on Saturday on KIKD.

Glidden Ralston played one of their best games of the year, playing with great effort, leading 35-31 entering the 4th quarter before things slipped away and the Bulldogs were able to rally for the win. The Wildcats hung tough in the 1st half, down seven but took charge in the 3rd with great defensive pressure, igniting the offense. Glidden Ralston outscored Boyer Valley 18-7 in the 3rd and looked in control of the game. Things slipped away as Boyer Valley went on a run and grabbed the lead for good.
Allison Snyder continues to have a strong season with a team high with 15 points with Olivia Squibb adding 9 points and Kassidy Wenck 8 points.
The Wildcats fall to 4-12 overall and will host CAM on Tuesday.

The Ar-We-Va Rockets dropped their fifth straight game as they fell on the road to Woodbine. The Rockets used good defense to keep the start of the game close, but Woodbine was able to pull away in the second quarter. The Rockets would trail 13-5 going to the second quarter. Woodbine outscored Ar-We-Va 23-6 in the second quarter and would lead 36-11 at the half. Woodbine would continue to grow their lead in the second half. Ar-We-Va would trail 56-13 going to the fourth quarter and would go on to lose 65-17. Only three players scored the basketball for Ar-We-Va. They were led by Gabbie Hundling, who scored seven points. Azaya Martinez chipped in six points in the loss. With the loss, Ar-We-Va falls to 3-14. The Rockets are back in action on Tuesday against Boyer Valley.
