Girls Wrestling Results Saturday, January 25th
Audubon, Carroll, Kuemper and South Central Calhoun At Atlantic Invite
Audubon and Carroll claimed individual titles on Saturday in Atlantic with Macy Rasmussen remaining undefeated for Audubon and Emma Daniels earning a win over the top ranked wrestler in her weight class. Audubon had the best team finish, tying with Red Oak for 9th with 71 points, Carroll was 12th with 65.5 points, Kuemper was 15th with 56 points and South Central Calhoun was 16th with 36 points. The Knights had three wrestlers make the podium and South Central Calhoun had two wrestlers on the podium. Audubon was 12-11 in matches wrestled with all twelve wins by fall. They had three wrestlers make the podium. Carroll was 13-13 in matches wrestled with eleven wins by fall, a tech fall and a decision with two girls making the podium. Kuemper finished 12-19 in matches wrestled with ten wins by fall and two by decisions and South Central Calhoun was 8-7 in matches wrestled with six wins by fall and two by decisions.
Macy Rasmussen (115) won another title, remaining undefeated with all three of her wins by fall. She beat December Paw of Des Moines Public Schools in the final in 4:31. Elena Harbour (140) was 4-1 for Audubon with all four wins by fall. She finished in 3rd. Jordan Mulford (105) was 4-2 with all four wins by fall.
Emma Daniels (235) pinned Haley Armstrong of Atlantic in the finals in 1:37 to win the title. She went 4-0 with all four of her wins by fall. Emma Grossman (190) was 3-1 with three wins by fall, taking 3rd for Carroll.
Sadie Smith (125) and Charlotte Schwabe (155) both went 3-2 with both finishing in 4th. Smith and Schwabe both won all three of their matches by fall for Kuemper.
Meia Hefley (135) was 5-1 for South Central Calhoun with three wins by fall and two be decision. She finished in 3rd with Emery Kramer (110) going 3-2 with all three wins by fall to finish in 4th.
