The Kuemper Knights bounce back from a loss last weekend as they pick up a home victory Thursday over Red Oak. The first quarter was the closest, as both teams would trade some early baskets. Kuemper would lead 15-12 late in the first quarter. The Knights would lead 22-15 going to the second quarter. Kuemper struggled with some early turnovers in the first quarter but responded great in the second quarter. They would outscore Red Oak 31-9 in the second quarter to lead 53-24 at the half. Kuemper scored double digits in every quarter. Coming out of the locker, Kuemper continues their great pace offensively. They would lead 77-33 going to the fourth quarter. The Knights were able to empty the bench in the fourth quarter, and they would go on to win 93-34.
The Knights had four players reach double digits in scoring. Ryan Clair had a team-high 18 points. Carson Kanne distributed the basketball well, finishing with 15 points and 10 assists. Brock Badding chipped in 16 points for the Knights, hitting some big threes in the second quarter. Dylan Schon and Jordan Tryon added nine points off the bench for Kuemper. With the win, the Knights move to 8-1. Kuemper will be back in action against Atlantic on Friday.

IKM-Manning pulled away in the 2nd half as Ben Ramsey went off for 42 points, 25 of them in the 2nd half. The game was tight through the middle of the 3rd when the Wolves made some stops and Ramsey scored 11 of 13 points for the Wolves, helping them take a 52-41 lead after the game was tied at 39. IKM-Manning outscored the Spartans 29-18 in the 2nd half after leading 34-33 at half.
IKM-Manning looked like they might open a big lead early with quick buckets from Ben Ramsey and Ashton Ahrenholtz. The lead grew to 9-3 with Ramsey hitting a three and Ahrenholtz scoring inside. Exira-EHK responded with a 8-0 run and went up 14-11. The Wolves fought back and Ramsey gave them a 16-14 lead with a three. The game went back and forth with four lead changes in the 1st quarter. Brock Kusel hit a free throw and the Wolves led 21-20 going to the 2nd quarter. Both offenses struggled in the 2nd quarter but Josh Nelson kept hitting threes. The Spartans hit 6 in the 1st quarter and Nelson kept them hanging around in the 2nd quarter. Luke Janssen and Ben Ramsey scored to put the Wolves up 25-20 early in the 2nd quarter and they maintained a two to five point lead until Josh Nelson hit a three to end the 1st half with IKM-Manning up 34-33.
The first-four baskets in the 2nd half changed the lead with IKM-Manning going up 39-38. Exira-EHK tied the game at 39 but Ben Ramsey scored eight straight and the Wolves began to take control. The lead hung around 12 to 15 most of the 4th quarter with the Wolves getting buckets from Ben Ramsey, Brock Kusel and Isaac Blankman.
Ben Ramsey had a career high 42 points with 6 rebounds and 6 assists for IKM-Manning. Brock Kusel added 6 points and 5 rebounds, Karsyn Lorenzen added 7 rebounds with Ben Langel having 4 steals.
The Wolves improved to 4-5 overall with a trip to Tri Center coming on Tuesday.

The Glidden-Ralston Wildcats fell on the road to tenth ranked Tri-Center on Thursday. The Wildcats struggled on the defensive end in the loss. In the first quarter Glidden-Ralston was able to knock down some shots from the outside as they did a good some against Tri-Centers zone defense. Glidden-Ralston would trail 23-14 at the end of the first quarter. Tri-Center was able to get some baskets in transition in the second quarter as their lead would grow. The Wildcats would trail 42-27 at the half. Glidden-Ralston gave up a run coming out of the locker room and trailed 63-41 after three quarters. Glidden-Ralston would go on to lose to Tri-Center 78-50.

Paton Churdan picked up their fourth straight win, knocking West Bend-Mallard off at home on Thursday. The first half was tight as PC would lead 28-23 at the half. The Rockets would go on to win 61-51. Paton Churdan had two players in double figures. They were led by Trevon Keeley, who scored 26 points. Phoenix Hartman was the other double-digit player as he chipped in 18 points. Cayden Stream added nine points in the win. With the win, Paton Churdan moves to 5-4. The Rockets are back in action on Friday against Woodbine.
