Katelyn Aden hit the game winner with 3.2 seconds left as the Tigers survived a scoreless 2nd quarter to earn a road win at Ballard. Sophia Tidgren scored 5 points in the 1st quarter to help Carroll take a 10-8 lead into the 2nd quarter. They struggled offensively, not scoring in the 2nd quarter but their defense kept them within striking distance, trailing 19-10 at half. They fought back quickly in the 3rd, scoring the first-nine points to tie the game at 19. Ballard squeezed ahead 24-23 heading into the 4th quarter. The Tigers tied the game at 32 setting up a play for Katelyn Aden. She was able to penetrate the lane and hit a layup with 3.2 seconds remaining to put them in the lead. The defense came up with a stop on the Bombers final possession and Carroll escaped with the win.
Sophia Tidgren led Carroll with 12 points and Katelyn Aden finished with 9 points. Chloe Kock added 7 points in the win.
Carroll improved to 7-2 overall and 3-2 in the Raccoon River Conference, having won 5 in a row. They host 2nd ranked North Polk on Friday on KCIM.

Exira-EHK won their third straight and fourth in their last five with another strong defensive performance, holding CAM to 34 points and only giving up double digits in one quarter. The offense performed well, putting the game out of reach in the 2nd quarter. The Spartans led 14-8 heading into the 2nd quarter, then erupted for 28 points in the 2nd quarter. The lead grew to 42-14 at half and CAM wasn’t able to recover. Both teams came out shooting well in the 2nd half but the Spartans maintained their lead, winning by 25 points.
Taryn Petersen paced the offense with 23 points and Jaelynn Petersen had 15 points with Kadence Sporrer having 8 points.
The Spartans improved to 5-2 overall and 4-2 in the Rolling Valley Conference. They head to IKM-Manning on Thursday on 93.7 KKRL.

Coon Rapids Bayard picked up their sixth win of the season with another dominant defensive performance. The Crusaders held Boyer Valley to 2 points in the 1st half and 19 points for the game. That countered a tough night on offense, scoring only 5 points in the 1st quarter and 13 in the 1st half. The defense finished with 20 steals, leading to some fast break opportunities. They opened things up in the 3rd quarter, scoring 17 points as Malia Clayburg got rolling. Clayburg led the Crusaders with 24 points to go with 9 rebounds, 6 steals and 5 blocked shots. Anna Hart did a nice job finding her scorers finishing with 7 assists to go with 7 steals. She added 8 points. Aubrey Hofbauer had 6 points and Ashtyn Klocke had 5 rebounds.
The win moved the Crusaders to 6-1 overall and 5-0 in the Rolling Valley. They host AHSTW on Thursday.

Glidden Ralston played their best 1st half of the season, getting out and running on the offensive end and creating turnovers and controlling the backboards on the defensive end. Allison Snyder poured in 17 points in the 1st half, helping the Wildcats jump out 23-2 at the end of the 1st quarter and 36-7 at half. Ar-We-Va switched up the defense in the 3rd quarter, energizing their efforts on both ends, fighting back with four straight points to open the half. They kept the Wildcats from getting up by more than 35 until the closing minutes of the game.
Kassidy Wenck established herself inside early for the Wildcats and Olivia Squibb scored inside and out while Allison Snyder was able to get out on the break, hitting shots in the lane as the Wildcats built a 23-2 lead at the end of the 1st quarter. Gabby Hundling scored for the Rockets in the 1st quarter, cutting the early deficit to 7-2 but the Wildcats closed the quarter on a 16-0 run. Azaya Martinez hit the first of her three-three’s to start the 2nd quarter for Ar-We-Va. Olivia Squibb and Ashlynn Tigges built the lead to 30-5 before Gabby Hundling scored for the Rockets. Glidden Ralston scored the final six points of the half.
Gabby Hundling had a big 2nd half for Ar-We-Va, scoring the first-four points of the half. She finished with a nifty double-double. After a quick Wildcats timeout Olivia Squibb scored six of the next eight points for Glidden Ralston. The Wildcats re-established Kassidy Wenck inside and held the lead around 30 points most of the rest of the 2nd half.
Allison Snyder paced the Wildcats with 25 points, adding 7 rebounds and 5 steals. Oliva Squibb added 18 points with 4 assists and 9 steals. Kassidy Wenck had 10 points and 7 rebounds with Ashlynn Tigges adding 6 rebounds.
Gabby Hundling paced Ar-We-Va with 12 points, 10 rebounds and 4 steals. Azaya Martinez finished with 9 points on 3-3’s.
Glidden Ralston improves to 3-5 overall and 2-4 in the Rolling Valley. They head to Tri Center on Thursday. Ar-We-Va falls to 2-5 overall and 1-4 in the Rolling Valley. They are at CAM on Friday.

The Wolves struggled from the free throw line but the defensive intensity kept them in the lead, finishing with 24 steals, led by 9 from Oriah Meiners and 8 from Keagan Eischeid. The Wolves aggressive defense allowed the Vikings to get to the rim but the Wolves blocked 5 shots with Keagan Eischeid and Laynie Gawley both having two. IKM-Manning built a 17-11 lead after the 1st quarter and were up 27-22 at half. They maintained a 5 point lead heading into the final stanza.
