Girls Wrestling Results For Friday, December 20th
Kuemper at Fort Dodge Tournament
The Kuemper Girls Wrestling team competed in Fort Dodge on Friday, finishing in 13th place. The Knights also had one individual champion at the tournament. Kuemper finished with 45 team points. At 125 pounds, Saide Smith of Kuemper finished in first place. Smith won her first match by pin and then followed that up with a win by major decision in the semifinals. In the first-place match, Smith won by a 7-6 decision. Kuemper only had one other girl place at the tournament as Madigan Hoyt finished in 6th place. Mason City won the team title with 159 points. The Knights will be back in action on January 4th at the Clarinda Tournament.

Audubon at WIC Tournament at Tri-Center
The Audubon Wheelers finished in fifth place at the Western Iowa Conference Tournament on Friday. The Wheelers finished with 88 team points. Audubon also claimed one individual championship. All Wheeler wrestlers competing on Friday place in their respective weight classes. At 120 pounds, Macy Rasmussen finished in first place as she continues her outstanding freshman season. Rasmussen went 2-0, with both wins coming via fall. Jordan Mulford finished in second at 110 pounds. Mulford went 1-1, picking up a win in the semifinals and losing in the first-place match. Emily Foran, Liv Inman, Laura McCarville, and Mackayla Zuniga finished in fourth place in their respective weight classes. The Wheelers will head into the break and will be back in action on January 4th at the Clarinda Tournament.
