East Sac hung close into the 2nd quarter against the 5th ranked Mustangs before their pressure defense began to give the Raiders issues. East Sac trailed 14-8 going into the 2nd quarter but gave up 23 points in the 2nd to trail 37-13 at half. East Sac finished the game with 28 turnovers leading to easy buckets for the Mustangs. The Raiders were led by Makenna Steiger who finished with 15 points with 4 rebounds. Kendall Quirk and Addisen Ehler both had strong games on the boards with Quirk pulling down 11 rebounds and Ehler adding 9 rebounds. Jordin Carroll added 5 rebounds.
The loss drops East Sac to 3-2 overall. They travel to Pocahontas on Monday.

South Central Calhoun bounced back from a tough 2nd quarter to earn their second straight win. After a strong 1st quarter the Titans struggled with GTRA’s pressure defense. They trailed 29-27 at the half. Turnovers led to their issues in the 2nd quarter but they responded extremely well in the 2nd half, playing more physical and controlling the ball. South Central Calhoun took a 46-39 lead into the final stanza. They shot the ball well in the 2nd half, finishing at 54.8% from the field. They stretched the lead in the 4th, earning a 58-48 win.
Blair Schleisman had a big game with 22 points, shooting 8 of 14 from the field. Her defense led to her offense, finishing with 7 steals and 5 rebounds. Bre Patterson continued her strong season with 11 points and 13 rebounds while Sadie Wheelock had 10 points and 7 rebounds. The overall team win was helped with Macie Dorman scoring 6 points with 6 rebounds and 5 assists and Adlen Wheelock having 7 rebounds.
South Central Calhoun improved to 3-3 overall and will host SE Valley on Monday on KIKD 106.7.
