The Carroll Tigers dropped their second straight game as they fell on the road to number three Sergeant Bluff-Luton on Friday. Carroll’s defense played well in the loss, forcing a couple of SBL turnovers. The Tigers struggled a little bit on offense as they recorded under 200 yards of offense in the loss. Carroll fell down early in the first quarter as SBL took a 7-0 lead going to the second quarter. Neither team scored in the second quarter, as both defenses played well in the first half. Carroll would trail 7-0 going into the half. In the third quarter, SBL added another touchdown to extend their lead to 14-0. The Warriors would add another touchdown in the fourth quarter. Carroll would go on to lose 21-0 to SBL.
Carroll recorded 191 yards of total offense in the loss. Taidyn Peterson was the leading rusher for Carroll, who had 79 yards on the ground. Reece Ziegmann caught 3 passes for 39 yards and added two interceptions on defense. Michael Rowedder was Carroll’s leading tackler, making seven tackles. With the loss, Carroll falls to 4-3. The Tigers are back in action on Friday against Sioux Center for senior night.
