The Ar-We-Va Rockets drop their second straight game against two of the best teams in 8-man football. Remsen St. Mary’s went into Friday’s game ranked number four in 8-man. Ar-We-Va struggled to throw the football, as they only recorded 73 yards in the air in the loss. St. Mary’s jumped out in the first quarter, taking advantage of mistakes made by Ar-We-Va. At the end of the first quarter, the Rockets found themselves down 37-0. Going into the locker rooms at the half, the score would remain the same. Remsen St. Mary’s added another touchdown in the third quarter as their lead would grow to 43-0. Neither team scored in the fourth and final quarter, as Ar-We-Va went on to lose 43-0.

Wyatt Ragaller was the Rockets’ leading rusher, recording 71 yards on the ground on only 15 carriers. Wade Ragaller and Tyson Von Glan each picked up six tackles defensively for Ar-We-Va. Blayne Smith was 14-23 completing passes but only threw for 73 yards and had three interceptions. With the loss, Ar-We-Va falls to 3-3 and 2-2 in district play. The Rockets are back in action on Friday against Newell-Fonda.
