Brincks Exteriors Sports Report: Carroll Rolls Past Creston on the Road

Taidyn Peterson set the tempo for the Carroll game on the Tigers second play from scrimmage, exploding through a hole and out running the defense for a 71-yard touchdown. Carroll rolled to a 30-0 lead by the end of the 1st quarter and never looked back. The offensive line was dominant, allowing the Tigers to run for 309-yards and gave Carter Essick and Tallon Crandall time to throw, combining to go 7-10 for 108-yards with a pair of touchdowns. The defense was just as dominant, holding Creston to 62-yards in the 1st half and 154-yards of total offense for the game. Carroll led 43-0 at half and with continuous clock in the 2nd  half were still able to have success with the junior varsity kids seeing plenty of playing time. Both teams scored in the 3rd quarter and the Carroll defense made a nice stop on the Panthers in the 4th quarter.

Taidyn Petersen carried the ball 12 times for 135-yards, scoring 3 touchdowns, including a 71-yard run. Carter Essick went 5 for 7 passing for 72-yards and a pair of touchdowns, one to Reece Ziegman for 18-yards and the other to Owen Klocke for 11-yards. Adam Malik ran for 64-yards with a 46-yard touchdown run. Reece Ziegmann had a team high 5.5 tackles with Quinten Polking adding 5 tackles. Taidyn Peterson and Maddox White both had an interception and Caden  Mollhoff recovered a fumble.

The Tigers are 3-1 entering district play this Friday on the road at MOC Floyd Valley on KIKD 106.7.
