The Glidden-Ralston Wildcats pick up their second straight win as they open up their district schedule 1-0 with a back-forth win at Colo-Nesco. The Wildcats ran the football outstandingly as they recorded over 400 yards on the ground. Glidden-Ralston would score a touchdown in the first quarter as they would jump out to an early 8-6 lead after one quarter. The offenses picked up in the second quarter as Colo-Nesco outscored Glidden-Ralston 16-12 in the quarter. The Royals would take a 22-20 lead at the half. Colo-Nesco would grow their lead in the third quarter as they added another touchdown to take a 30-20 lead. Glidden-Ralston would score a couple of touchdowns in the fourth, completing a come-from-behind win over Colo-Nesco 34-30.
Colby Wallace was great on the ground for Glidden-Ralston, with 264 yards rushing and five touchdowns. Wallace was also 5-6 through the air for 26 yards. Waylon Hein and Lucas Christian each went over 50 yards rushing in the win. Alex Daniel recorded a team-high 9.5 tackles on defense with a sack. Treynor Cose picked up 7.5 tackles for the Wildcats. With the win, Glidden-Ralston improves to 2-1. The Wildcats are back in action on Friday against Baxter for Homecoming.
